An hour later, a black Volga sedan pulled up outside the Medical Center.
Four people got out of the car—two men and two women. All of them looked grave and wore formal attire. One of the men in particular kept an expressionless face the entire time. He looked to be around forty, and wherever his eyes landed, people could not help but feel a chill in their hearts, lowering their heads and not daring to meet his gaze.
Clearly, he usually held great authority at work to have developed such an overbearing, dictatorial air. Compared to him, the other three beside him seemed far less imposing.
One of them was a bespectacled woman who looked like a scholar. Sharp-eyed observers even noticed that one of her legs was trembling faintly. The poor girl had evidently suffered quite a bit of "bullying" from that awful superior on the way here.
The other two looked much more normal. One of the women wore a mask and looked rather pale, as if she were not feeling well.
The moment the four got out of the car, they attracted plenty of attention. Without saying anything, they headed straight into the Medical Center.
The captain of the militia squad responsible for security hesitated, but he still reached out to stop them. His orders had been to prevent unrelated personnel from entering the hospital.
The militia squad captain felt that he should obey his orders. However, the middle-aged man who looked like a leader did not say a word, merely giving him a cold glance. The captain immediately regretted what he had done.
Fortunately, the bespectacled young woman who looked easier to talk to stepped forward and said, "We are the Expert Group from Moscow. We received orders to investigate the accident at the
