Chapter 756: Thanks

As expected, no one managed to complete the extra training on the first day.

By the time the sun set and dinner had long passed, everyone was starving. Even the fastest had completed only a third of the additional training. Zhang Heng was still slacking off, maintaining middling progress, while Bach had it the worst. His original workload was already the highest of everyone's, so doubling it naturally added the most to his burden.

He looked as though he had just been dragged out of the water, glaring fixedly at Gabi in the distance.

Yet Gabi seemed not to feel Bach's fury and resentment at all. Without saying a word, he watched the trainers walking among the crowd, urging anyone who tried to slack off or rest to continue training.

Finally, someone could no longer take it. He threw down his training sword and shouted, "I want food! I want food!!! Even if we have to do extra training, shouldn't you at least let us eat first?"

His words won the approval of most people present. However, only three or five voiced their agreement. The rest said nothing, but their expressions showed that they agreed from the bottom of their hearts.

Gabi walked up to the man who had thrown down his sword and said coldly, "Pick up your weapon."

Under normal circumstances, the man would not have dared defy Gabi's order. But perhaps he felt his demand was reasonable, or perhaps he believed so many people supported him, so he found more courage than usual and did not bend down to retrieve his training sword.

"Very well. If you don't want to train, then you don't have to. The day after tomorrow, you can go work in the mines with that fellow named Valo," Gabi said.
