This was a workshop. Gears were everywhere, making it obvious whose territory this was. Zhang Wei had given careful thought to making this their next stop. As for Mei and Kiana, they had returned to the Hyperion long ago—one to prepare tonight's dinner, the other to sneak bites on the side. Perfectly reasonable, right?
"I never expected you to choose Vill-V's place. I actually wanted to go see Griseo with you. Both the little and grown-up Griseos are so cute." Elysia's lips unconsciously drooled with longing.
"They should be painting. We'd only disturb them if we went!" Zhang Wei knew that ever since grown-up Griseo had boarded the ship, drips of paint had frequently appeared in the corridors.
"True. But Cosmo must be feeling a little lost now. As Griseo's guardian, grown-up Griseo has returned, so he doesn't have any use anymore. Boohoo, how pitiful." The corners of Elysia's lips curved upward.
Zhang Wei rolled his eyes. How many trashy foxes had she eaten?
"But there are other people. I only come to Vill-V's place when I need some interesting inventions!"
"There'll be plenty of time for the other Flame-Chasers later. Besides, I know that getting along well with them isn't something that can be accomplished in a short time.
"Enthusiastic Master Qian will challenge you to a fight, the sharp-tongued Snake Snake will have you communicate on an operating table, Aponia will most likely make you listen to prayers, Su is a little mystical, and Sakura and Hua are both the quiet type..." Zhang Wei briefly explained his reasons.
They all had strong personalities, so he could take it slow. There would be plenty of time to get acquainted and become friends.
"Uh... all right!" Elysia had no retort. Thinking about it carefully, it really wasn't all that different from what Zhang Wei had said. How had she never noticed before?
"Besides, I heard Vill-V has several personalities. I want to see them for myself!"
Elysia was no naive fool. She looked at Zhang Wei slyly and teased, "So this is what you really wanted, Captain."
Zhang Wei nodded bluntly. "As a man, isn't that perfectly reasonable? Vill-V seems to have eight personalities, which means eight Vill-Vs. If Vill-V were my girlfriend, that'd be like having eight girlfriends at once."
Elysia could not help widening her eyes. What a savage thing to say. But on second thought, it really did sound exciting.
"Ahem!"
The doors of the Spiral Workshop opened, and an awkward cough came from within. Vill-V walked out, her expression exceptionally strange.
She had noticed the two of them the moment they arrived. The reason she had not shown herself immediately was because she wanted to listen in on their conversation. But she had not expected it to get so outrageous that even she could not stop herself from blushing.
Her outfit was distinctly steampunk in style, adorned with many exquisite gears. One look was enough to tell that she had made it herself.
The one currently present was the Great Magician personality. Meanwhile, the other personalities were already in an uproar inside her head, and many of them were discussing how to teach Zhang Wei a lesson.
"Vill-V, did you miss me?" Elysia waved, only to receive Vill-V's indifferent reply. "No. We just met yesterday. What do you want from me?"
"I wanted to get to know you. I heard you have many personalities. Can I speak with each of them one by one?" Zhang Wei asked.
"Easy! This is the first time a handsome audience member has made such a request. I'm the Great Magician personality, and I'll grant your wish!" Vill-V raised a brow and performed an exceptionally elegant stage bow.
The personalities in her head were chattering so loudly that they were about to make her explode on the spot. She might as well use Zhang Wei's request to give herself some relief.
Elysia, meanwhile, had another thought. Was Zhang Wei making this request because he wanted to meet his eight wives in advance?
"Hello, I'm Expert Vill-V. The people in my head are far too noisy, but I'm quite interested in your Hyperion. May I study it?" Expert Vill-V appeared and got straight to the point.
The Divine Keys were basically handled by this personality, so her research ability was exceptionally formidable.
Unlike the Great Magician, she was less lively and carried herself with a rational air.
"We can talk after you board the ship. You can study it, but don't mess around with it!" Zhang Wei knew the Hyperion would not be damaged so easily, but Vill-V did not look like a particularly reliable person.
"Deal. I'll make the Hyperion's firepower even stronger!" Expert Vill-V's eyes lit up. The Hyperion possessed too much technology she had never seen before. Even this initial contact had already captivated her.
"My turn, my turn! Captain Zhang Wei, I'm Conductor Vill-V. I have the authority to divide personalities. Before the original me awakened, I was responsible for managing the other personalities. But it's all your fault—them lot are about to explode!" Conductor Vill-V looked at Zhang Wei resentfully.
"That isn't my fault. That's what people say online. How do personalities get split?" Zhang Wei had a bold idea.
It would probably be interesting to split off the personality of that so-called Ferryman.
"Does Captain Zhang Wei want to split off personalities too? I wouldn't recommend it. This isn't something fun. I only divided these various personalities in order to plan things more reasonably." Conductor Vill-V shook her head.
"Yes, the Conductor is right!" Elysia nodded.
Zhang Wei had only been thinking about it. For now, he had no such plans. He would get jealous of himself.
"Miss Mei's pastries are delicious. Given the chance, you can try my cooking too!" Vill-V Hundred Flavors appeared and immediately used Zhang Wei to issue Mei a challenge.
"I look forward to it!" Zhang Wei was quite curious who was the better cook: Vill-V Hundred Flavors or Cooking Wife.
The remaining Vill-V personalities appeared one after another and spoke with Zhang Wei. However, the Primal personality and the Extreme Evil personality never appeared. Zhang Wei did not beat around the bush.
"Two are still missing, right? The Primal personality and the Extreme Evil personality..."
"Extreme Evil? Hmm, Vill-V, why have I never heard of that personality? Was she split off in the Elysian Realm? She sounds a little wicked!" Elysia gave a soft hum and circled Vill-V.
Primal Vill-V, or perhaps Self Vill-V, had appeared only rarely, but Elysia had met her before. Compared with the other personalities, she was the rather shy type—though she was very cute. As for this unfamiliar personality called Extreme Evil, Elysia had never met her. Besides, "Extreme Evil" sounded a little villainous.
