"Mei? No, she's not Mei!"

The figure in white seemed to notice something. She turned around and looked at Zhang Wei and Kiana.

Sure enough, Kiana blurted out that name, only to immediately realize she had mistaken her for someone else. This wasn't Mei.

Compared to Mei, the person before them looked extremely similar to her, but she wore glasses and gave off an air of rationality. At a glance, she looked like the smart type.

Kiana had thought Zhang Wei was joking, but she had really mistaken her for someone else at first sight. Still, she really did look like Mei. If Kiana hadn't known Mei so well, she might not have been able to tell them apart.

Facing the two unfamiliar outsiders, Dr. Mei adjusted her glasses and studied them with curiosity.

"Dr. Mei, be careful. Unknown individuals detected!"

A small figure appeared soundlessly, floating in the air. She had short gray hair, two miniature turbochargers, red eyes, and an expressionless face.

Her joints made it clear that she wasn't human. She was somewhat similar to a doll, with two mechanical arms floating behind her. They seemed to be on standby, ready to attack the two of them at any moment.

"Bronya?"

Kiana's eyes widened, but she quickly shook her head. This wasn't the Bronya she knew, though that face was very similar.

Counterparts really were unexpected. There was Mei, who looked like Mei, and Prometheus, who looked like Bronya. She was already a little impatient to meet a Kiana who looked like herself.

"Number 17... wait!"

Seeing Prometheus attack, Mei couldn't help calling out to stop her, but it was already too late. The mechanical arms behind Pro-Ya had already slammed toward Kiana and Zhang Wei. Prometheus's arms were made from metals such as Soulium and could easily unleash ton-level destructive force.

"Child's play!"

Zhang Wei planted his hands on his hips without even making a defensive move. Kiana's mouth twitched, and she silently sidestepped to avoid getting splattered with blood.

According to her assessment, this person's face was tougher than Soulium. She had never seen such a shameless person.

"Hiss, my teeth almost got knocked out!" Zhang Wei returned via spatial movement, but his right cheek was now a little swollen. He kept sucking in cold breaths. This Pro-Ya really didn't hold back—she had gone all out and nearly knocked him unconscious.

"Who told you to use your face to catch her attack, Captain?" Kiana complained.

"How was I supposed to know she was actually going to hit me?" Zhang Wei retorted. He had assumed Prometheus was only making a symbolic test, but she had actually attacked with full force. She had absolutely no sense of fair play.

"Enough, Number 17. Don't attack!" Seeing Prometheus preparing to strike Zhang Wei with her other mechanical arm, Dr. Mei hurriedly stopped her. If even a Soulium arm couldn't break through his defenses, she didn't think they were any match for him.

"Dr. Mei, we're Kevin's friends, so there's no need to be on guard!" Zhang Wei waved in greeting.

"Kevin's friends? Do you mean the Kevin in the Sea of Quantum, or the Kevin in the Elysian Realm?" Mei naturally knew Kevin was still alive, but one was a Memory Body made of data, while the other was the real person.

She wasn't the real Mei either. Her form of existence was somewhat similar to a Memory Body, though she was merely a lingering, struggling ghost. On the day her mission was complete, she too would disappear from this World Bubble.

As for whether Zhang Wei was lying, Mei, one of the top three intellects of the Previous Civilization, could naturally tell at a glance. They did know Kevin and even had a certain connection to him. Kiana's white hair and blue eyes in particular made it difficult not to associate her with Kevin. Could she be Kevin's descendant? Then that would make her Mei's descendant as well?

Thinking that, Mei's gaze toward Kiana softened slightly.

"You've got the wrong idea. I'm not that Kevin's descendant. I'm not even from this world, so don't look at me like that!" Kiana rolled her eyes dramatically. The Kiana of this world could indeed be considered Kevin's descendant by blood, but she certainly wasn't.

"Another world? Sorry, I misunderstood you!" Mei was briefly stunned, then instantly understood what was going on.

"Whatever."

Kiana shook her head. Let people think whatever they wanted; she couldn't possibly explain it all. Of course, there was one extreme option: directly use Finality-class authority to alter the consciousness of the entire world.

"So, are you here to see me on Kevin's behalf?" Mei adjusted her glasses. The white glare reflecting off the lenses gave her the intimidating air of a researcher.

"More or less. Since I'll be making Kevin work like a—no, work for me in the future, I should give him something in return!" Zhang Wei blurted out those words before hurriedly correcting himself.

Mei: "..."

What had she just heard? She must have heard correctly—Kevin was now working for this red-haired fellow?

Prometheus's next words confirmed it.

Leaving her even more speechless.

Prometheus: "You meant workhorse, right? According to the records, a Black-hearted Capitalist like you needs a streetlamp!"

"Ahem, slip of the tongue. Kevin is my good friend. How could I make a good friend do that sort of thing?"

"Dr. Mei, I'm not lying!" Zhang Wei said solemnly, placing a hand over his chest.

Kiana opened her mouth. Wasn't that what that blond Otto had said to Fu Hua? Besides, after living together for so long, they knew each other inside and out. She really didn't want to expose his true colors.

"I understand. You want me to leave?" Dr. Mei said helplessly.

"Unfortunately, I can't leave this World Bubble, and I probably only have a little over ten years left."

"Simple. How about this?"

Zhang Wei skillfully used the Herrscher Authority of Reason to construct a body. Mei fell silent at the sight. Was she supposed to move into it?

Before coming to the moon, Zhang Wei had specifically gotten Mei's blood sample from Mobius. Mobius of the Previous Civilization had secretly kept it. If Kevin found out, the current Mobius would probably be chopped into fertilized eggs.

"Since this Captain came here, I never intended to leave empty-handed. You're the gift I'm bringing Kevin!" Zhang Wei declared righteously.

"You're forcing a sale!" Mei could see it now. Today, she had no choice but to leave with Zhang Wei.
