The wind and clouds in the sky were as usual. Wisps of white clouds drifted across the kale blue sky, and the sea breeze carried a familiar salty tang, faintly mixed with the stench of blood.
A world-scale war could not be launched overnight. From planning and groundwork, to shifting industrial priorities, deploying personnel, testing the upper echelons, igniting each other, and every other step in between, everything was proceeding in an orderly fashion.
World wars were usually born from decades of accumulated conflict, followed by over a decade of prewar planning and several years of preparations. But this time, while it might be a world-scale war for this world, for the Eastern Kingdom—the vaguely acknowledged foremost power on Earth—it was merely a large-scale conflict, a broad strategic probe and rehearsal.
Over the span of several months, as all manner of military forces were mobilized, the war naturally escalated across the board.

On this day, the ancient Sea God arrived in His New World.
The instant He embedded Himself into this world, it seemed that nothing had changed. Yet even someone at Lu PingAn's level could vaguely sense the distortion of the world's rules.
He could not help recalling the intelligence they had obtained before: how could a creature that was, at least once, mortal, seize ownership of a world?
By becoming rules, becoming the World's Logic... Once that so-called "personified World's Logic" embedded itself into the world and became a new operating rule and judgment mechanism, it naturally gained ownership of the world.
