"Actually, there was no one else to choose."
Perhaps, from beginning to end, there had only ever been one who could become a dragon-descended subordinate god.
"Ajiu, what do you think?" Lu PingAn asked.
Before him, the translucent blue little snake was coiled atop the table, its single horn radiating flecks of golden light.
Its little tongue flicked out as its sleepy eyes hovered between open and shut.
It looked like some rare treasure, but in truth, it was Lu PingAn's most peculiar "child."
She, Demonic Snake A'Jiu, was probably the least active of all Lu PingAn's Magical Pets.
Part of that was because the "material" that made her up was too unusual. Outside her "homeland," she was like a fish out of water, truly unable to move much.
Another part was due to the three blessings Lu PingAn had bestowed when he created her, which had been somewhat too hasty and overambitious.
". . . The first blessing: you shall not be bound by form. The second blessing: you shall freely shift between 'energy (spirit)' and 'matter.'"
These were the essence of Ajiu's composition, the "definition" Lu PingAn had given her.
If that had been all, then the special Divine Bone used as the primary material for that Ancient Divine Beast, the peculiar Divine Bone catalyst capable of multiplying the conversion of "thermal energy" into "kinetic energy," could have achieved it.
But back then, Lu PingAn had slipped in some personal additions to the "blueprint," adding his own understanding of higher dimensions and the essence of all things.
In the end, he created a Fantasy Beast that existed between existence and nonexistence. It could freely transform between energy and matter and manipulate the real universe as it pleased. Looking back now—
"Isn't that a Tier 11 higher-dimensional existence?"
Clearly,
