Testing the Blade

Cat Cat was mine.

When Lu PingAn saw Lei Huo Ren, for some reason, those words immediately surfaced in his mind.

As he seemingly disdainfully provoked Lei Huo Ren, he was actually surprised that almost no one knew about his emotions. Lu PingAn was, in truth, a slacker creature with barely any emotional fluctuations.

He was rarely angry, rarely excited, rarely fond of anything, and rarely disgusted. Most of the time, he simply went with the flow and slacked off in every possible way.

Just seeing someone had stirred up such a powerful possessiveness toward a certain toy in him. The person most surprised by it was Lu PingAn himself.

"Uh, looks like I really do see her as a useful tool."

Savoring this unprecedented feeling and sensing the unease and irritation rising from deep within, Lu PingAn found it increasingly strange.

".Maybe it went even further than that. Like finally taming a cat—you could tease it and hold it while you slept—only for its former owner to come knocking. Not only did they have legal ownership, but if they called out, Cat Cat might just run right back to them."

The words that could naturally infuriate most older brothers slipped from his lips. Smiling, Lu PingAn launched into mockery and provocation.
