Ch. 1970Great Strides

Lu PingAn pushed forward grassroots reforms and publicized the wealth, safety, and longevity offered by the new supernatural training system. As the special zone moved toward universal supernaturalization, he continued cooking on the Courtyard land, where its people were becoming parts of him.

  • Lu PingAn withdrew from the reform leadership group and let the Panda Man reformists absorb public anger, while Xue En became a celebrity.
  • Lu PingAn ordered his media to publicize stories of ordinary people earning great wealth as professionals.
  • The campaign made the Trading Ground’s path to becoming a superhuman mainstream knowledge, and Wanjing did not intervene.
  • Lu PingAn’s second publicity wave promoted the new training system’s higher tiers, safer advancement, and longer lifespans.
  • The special zone awaited the outcome of its reforms as Lu PingAn cooked on the Courtyard land and gradually incorporated its people into himself.

Ch. 1971Assimilation

Lu PingAn used the Training Class and its publicity to push sweeping education and employment reforms across Ancient City, drawing more people into Professional careers. As the city’s population and life became part of his developing divine domain, he grew more stable and advanced toward a higher form of existence.

  • Lu PingAn advertised the Training Class by showing recruits’ accelerated careers, high salaries, and grueling live-combat training, winning public attention despite criticism.
  • Lu PingAn finalized new education, training, and employment systems, while the Liberal Arts and Sciences Split reached sixty-one percent and his reforms passed the point of no return.
  • Lu PingAn realized Ancient City had become a Kingdom of God on Earth and that its people’s lives and choices were helping him materialize his World’s Logic.
  • Lu PingAn appeared on television to teach a cooking program whose recipes established rules that helped Ancient City residents become and advance as Professionals.
  • Lu PingAn caused spiritual water to flow through the city, making its people and the river part of his existence as he grew toward a higher level of being.

Ch. 1972Gift

Lu PingAn’s divine kingdom expanded across the Ancient City, gently enhancing residents’ digestion and learning and allowing them to grow stronger through supernatural Gourmet. Authorities confirmed the benefits were spreading throughout the city, while residents and outsiders began moving in as housing prices climbed.

  • Professional monitoring agencies detected the Ancient City entering an Other World state and ascending toward a higher dimension, then investigated Lu PingAn’s stable divine kingdom.
  • Intelligence personnel found that the city’s residents had gained Enhanced Digestion and Enhanced Learning Ability without suffering the erosion typical of divine kingdoms.
  • Experts explained that the rules could raise physical and mental development across generations and improve residents’ ability to digest supernatural Gourmet.
  • Residents discussed relocating to the Ancient City as migration and demand from outsider Orcs drove housing prices up.
  • Authorities discovered that Gourmet’s digestion threshold had fallen and that many dishes’ temporary boosts had become permanent, letting people grow stronger by eating.

Ch. 1973The Era

Lu PingAn awakened as a deity and appointed Bank Managers as divine envoys, while using the Courtyard and public livestreams to reshape the extraordinary world and promote civilian Professionals. The chapter ended with hostility toward Outland Visitors declining as people accepted the New Era and sought ways to make a living in it.

  • Lu PingAn appointed selected Gu Da students as Bank Managers, giving them Rule-level status and the ability to provide Courtyard Account Cards and use Life Points.
  • Lu PingAn used Life Points to rapidly advance recruits and presented star rookies as proof of his educational reforms.
  • Civilian agencies and mercenaries grew as demand for security increased, while Lu PingAn organized Star Warriors on a livestreaming platform supervised by Fang Wen.
  • Lu PingAn promoted flashy warrior livestreams, which attracted viewers with riches and adventures while also showing the dangers and costs of Professional work.
  • Lu PingAn’s behind-the-scenes efforts helped reduce hostility toward Outland Visitors as citizens accepted the New Era and looked for ways to earn money.

Ch. 1974Waves

Lu PingAn restrained the world’s push for rapid evolution but allowed New Dragonkin transformations and supernatural medicine to spread under his rule. As more people benefited from his reforms, public resistance dwindled while the Eastern Kingdom quietly permitted the changes.

  • Lu PingAn rejected the world’s attempt to use him as a vessel for accelerated evolution and restrained widespread mutation.
  • The world recognized New Dragonkin as a native race, and their numbers grew through transformations carried out largely via Eastern Kingdom channels.
  • Lu PingAn allowed patients with severed limbs or damaged organs to become Dragonkin, while warning that transformation could harm people with too little life force.
  • Lu PingAn opened supernatural outpatient services that combined Professional advancement with medical treatment to cure illnesses.
  • When accused of buying citizens’ support for his reforms, Lu PingAn admitted that he was benefiting them to reduce resistance.

Ch. 1975Big Promise

At an Ancient City Government meeting, Xue En proposed building a new city to address the strain caused by a surge of immigrants and soaring housing costs. Backed by Lu PingAn’s faction and its resources, the plan aimed to expand Ancient City into a metropolitan cluster of more than fifty million people.

  • Xue En described Ancient City’s rapid growth and warned that housing prices, rents, and demand for public services were rising beyond the city’s capacity.
  • Xue En proposed constructing a new city that would expand Ancient City by around 30 percent.
  • Xue En said Lu PingAn’s faction would fund construction, clean polluted areas, and provide top-tier combat power to deal with dangerous secret realms.
  • Xue En offered development rights for real estate projects in return and urged officials to envision Ancient City as a metropolitan cluster with over fifty million residents.

Ch. 1976Holy Maiden

Wanjing tolerated Lu PingAn’s reforms because his Divine Realm might help humanity evolve and produce a powerful deity, while the government weakened Lady Lin’s faction ahead of their expected final clash. As war preparations continued, Lu PingAn chose Cat Cat as his Holy Maiden after she showed extraordinary compatibility, and began training her in the role.

  • Wanjing’s decision-makers backed Lu PingAn because his Divine Realm could grant humanity valuable evolutionary traits and offer hope in the competition for survival.
  • The Eastern Kingdom suppressed Lady Lin’s faction, investigated its members, and reduced the forces likely to join her when she declared war.
  • Lu PingAn learned that Lady Lin might have only one chance left, while Chris drank with him and got deliberately drunk.
  • Lu PingAn selected Cat Cat as his sole Holy Maiden because of her Spirit Fusion talent and their strong soul compatibility.
  • Lu PingAn found that Cat Cat’s synchronization rate was 210 percent, making her their strongest potential combatant, and began training her in speech and conduct.

Ch. 1977God and Holy Maiden

Su SuSu, the Forest Goddess Sect’s reluctant Pope, hid in the Ancient City and watched Lu PingAn before Lady Lin ordered her to meet him. Lu PingAn arrived at her room first, leaving Su SuSu trapped between two gods.

  • Su SuSu hid her identity in an inexpensive older woman’s body while staying in a hotel across from Special Task Force Three.
  • She spotted Lu PingAn at a familiar roadside skewer stall and studied him through a bronze mirror.
  • Su SuSu recalled her past failures and grew wary of Lu PingAn’s rise and youthful appearance.
  • Lady Lin read Su SuSu’s thoughts and ordered her to meet Lu PingAn face-to-face.
  • Lu PingAn appeared at Su SuSu’s open doorway, and she feared that her life was no longer in her hands.

Ch. 1978Wager Duel

Lu PingAn confronted Lady Lin in his Divine Realm as Chris reconsidered her hatred for the deity who had once been her junior sister. Lady Lin proposed a wager duel to settle their conflict, but Lu PingAn refused and moved to keep her incarnation from leaving.

  • Lu PingAn and Lady Lin met without fighting, while Chris reflected that Lady Lin had effectively lost her humanity upon becoming a god.
  • Lu PingAn judged that killing Lady Lin's incarnation would yield little, and both acknowledged that the Eastern Kingdom would not allow a full-scale God War.
  • Lady Lin proposed a wager duel in which the loser would become the winner's subordinate god, but Lu PingAn refused to risk his advantage.
  • Lady Lin began to leave, and Lu PingAn used silver starlight to stop her and demanded that she leave behind a mature Holy Maiden vessel.

Ch. 1979War Begins

Lu PingAn and Lady Lin clashed in Ancient City, ending any chance of avoiding war between their factions. The conflict escalated into attacks, disease outbreaks, and monster assaults, leaving both sides committed to all-out war.

  • Lu PingAn rejected Lady Lin’s Verbal Duel, arguing that neither faction would accept the result once their followers and ideals were at stake.
  • Lu PingAn captured Lady Lin’s abandoned Holy Maiden and ordered patrol guards to watch for her agents in Ancient City.
  • Lu PingAn sent Cat Cat to hunt Lady Lin’s local followers as the Eastern Kingdom prepared to classify the Forest Goddess Church as a wanted organization.
  • Gu City and Eastern Kingdom authorities declared the Forest Goddess Church a criminal, high-risk evil god organization, prompting many High-Level Professionals to leave it and some to join Lu PingAn.
  • Attacks destroyed the Ancient City Military Port, while Rat Tides, Insect Plagues, diseases, and otherworldly monsters spread through Ancient City and Changping.
  • The Rebirth Merchant Guild produced vaccines and medicines as the Beast Hunting Squad won battles, and the two sides entered all-out war.

Ch. 1980Entanglement

Lu PingAn faced Lady Lin’s assault on his investments and launched an all-out war across economic, political, and military fronts. With the Ancient City and Eastern Kingdom backing his project, his forces took over city security as the battle began.

  • Lu PingAn learned that his faction’s assets and cash flow were under attack, but the Eastern Kingdom authorities offered an interest-free loan and local powers rallied to protect the Ancient City project.
  • Lu PingAn judged that Lady Lin had waited too long to challenge him, and he refused negotiations after talks failed.
  • Lu PingAn declared an all-out fight, drawing every level of his faction and its dependents into a struggle across economic, industrial, and covert fronts.
  • Lu PingAn released transcendents from the Courtyard, and Hunting Squads, giant wolves, treants, and giants deployed throughout the Ancient City.
  • The Rebirth Merchant Guild revealed its high-tier combatants and took over city security, while its forces fought Lady Lin’s core troops amid mounting casualties.

Ch. 1981Comprehensive War

Lu PingAn's forces prepared for Lady Lin's God War, but the enemy's unexpectedly weak attacks concealed a larger threat. The chapter ended when an outsider deity's shattered divine kingdom brought an icy domain into their territory and opened a gate to another world.

  • Lu PingAn and Chris noticed that far fewer of Lady Lin's forces had arrived than expected, and they suspected she had weakened.
  • Lu PingAn's strategists observed that Lady Lin's side was still hiding strength, as high-level spies disappeared without warning.
  • Lu PingAn's forces fortified the Ancient City against Life-type attacks, while Lady Lin's Professionals were weakened within his life domain.
  • A mysterious cold struck the city, and investigators found no virus; some victims had simply frozen to death.
  • An outsider deity fell, and the explosion of his icebound divine kingdom opened a gate to another world.

Ch. 1982Ambush

The God of Snow Mountain detonated himself, flooding the Ancient City with lethal ice-and-snow pollution and opening a gate to another world. Lu PingAn protected the city and met the invading cold with Sacred Fire, then discovered Lady Lin’s undead forces approaching.

  • The God of Snow Mountain shattered and died, unleashing his divine kingdom’s ice-and-snow rules across the Ancient City.
  • Lu PingAn used his Divine Realm to shield the city’s inhabitants while the explosion opened a gate to another world.
  • Lu PingAn determined that he could not close the gate until the dimensional Waves stopped and concentrated on keeping the Ancient City stable.
  • Lu PingAn ordered the awakening of the Sun Vines, whose Sacred Fire pushed back the invading cold and foreign pollution.
  • Lu PingAn saw gray-eyed undead across the otherworld and accused Lady Lin of using a death domain to suppress Life-type abilities.

Ch. 1983Trap

Lu PingAn confronted Lady Lin in a foreign winter realm where the laws weakened his Divine Realm and brought waves of undead against his city. Lady Lin watched with satisfaction as his realm endured, convinced that he would eventually lose the meaning of being Earth's God of Life.

  • Lu PingAn recognized that Lady Lin had sacrificed the God of Winter and turned the battlefield into a death domain that restricted both Gods of Life.
  • Lu PingAn's Sacred Fire destroyed many of Lady Lin's undead, but the God of Snow Mountain's icy creatures resisted it and the realm began draining heat from his Divine Realm.
  • A widespread blackout panicked the mortals as foreign laws disrupted the city's electricity and eroded Lu PingAn's realm.
  • Lady Lin's planner feared that Lu PingAn's Divine Realm had survived leaving Earth, while Lady Lin took this as proof that their wager was right.

Ch. 1984Beast King

Lu PingAn learned that no reinforcements could reach the battlefield, where he and Lady Lin were competing to become the sole Lord of Life. As other Gods of Life and evil god believers moved against him, Chris led Balance Calamity Beast’s hidden Beast Kings into the city to confront them.

  • Lu PingAn accepted that the homeland could send no meaningful reinforcements and realized the battle would decide who could continue as Lord of Life.
  • Lu PingAn sensed that other Gods of Life had intervened, while Chris detected familiar evil-god presences and warned of infiltrators entering the Divine Realm.
  • Lu PingAn sent Chris to deal with the threats and told her to take the Hounds and the largest beasts.
  • Chris opened Number Seventeen Beast Pen and released colossal hounds and other Beast Kings that had long been concealed within the Courtyard.
  • Chris led the silent Beast Kings through the streets, preparing to fight for Earth's Lord of Eternal Life.

Ch. 1985Setting the Stage

As the Undead Army attacked Ancient City amid a world-threatening cold wave, Lu PingAn and Fang Wen coordinated the evacuation and deployed the Courtyard’s forces. Lu PingAn summoned the Holy Fire Chapel to protect the city and waited for Lady Lin and the others to strike.

  • Fang Wen used the SkyNet system and Lu PingAn’s reforms to coordinate evacuations, redirecting residents when Shelter Number Six became unsafe.
  • The Undead Army attacked as extreme cold disabled city systems, and the Courtyard opened portals in the shelters to serve as sanctuaries.
  • Lu PingAn summoned a silver fortress from the Courtyard, creating layered defenses around Ancient City while carefully reshaping reality.
  • The Courtyard’s Hounds, crystal swarms, and aerial cavalry joined the battle against the undead.
  • Young Man summoned the Holy Fire Chapel, whose Sacred Fire illuminated the city and purified undead, while Lu PingAn waited for Lady Lin and the others to attack.

Ch. 1986Third Blessing

As the undead army attacked the Silver Fortress, Lu PingAn relied on the Holy Fire Chapel and the growing strength of the city’s people to withstand the frozen battlefield. He bestowed the Third Blessing on those fighting to protect life, while the war and the enemy’s true strength remained unresolved.

  • Lu PingAn watched a frost beast fall outside the city walls as the Holy Fire Chapel kept the Silver Fortress warm and empowered its defenses.
  • Lady Lin probed Lu PingAn about the Sacred Fire and Life Points before cutting off their communication, confirming his suspicion that other Gods of Life were hidden in the icy fog.
  • Lu PingAn ordered the warriors to rotate shifts and let the Holy Fire Chapel bear the early pressure, confident that his Life Points remained in surplus.
  • As citizens became Professionals to defend their families, their lives and activity increased Lu PingAn’s power despite the battlefield’s lack of life-sustaining energy.
  • Lu PingAn gained an insight into the right to struggle and bestowed the Life Defender blessing on those fighting to protect life.

Ch. 1987Consumption

As the Ancient City’s defenders endured a new Beast Tide, Lu PingAn sent the Steel Giants into battle under Fang Wen, his newly appointed subordinate god. The battle’s attrition phase ended as a hunting team struck down a god-level enemy and Lu PingAn’s mechanical forces entered the fray.

  • After seventy-two hours, the Courtyard began the Tenth Wave Shift, with Orc warriors taking the front line and Phosphorus People restoring utilities and supporting the defense.
  • Lu PingAn observed that the Burning Legion’s power seemed limited, but Earth-native creatures began appearing among the enemy forces.
  • A giant whale, ice birds, and other divine and magical beasts arrived with an immense Beast Tide, prompting Lu PingAn to prepare his main forces.
  • A pillar of light and a god’s wail announced that Chris and her beast pack had achieved a result while hunting a god-level enemy.
  • Lu PingAn sent the insured Steel Giants into combat to gain experience, and their mechanical forms charged through the beasts.
  • Fang Wen, having ascended to godhood, became the battlefield’s core as the Lord of Mechanics and Life, Wisdom Gear.

Ch. 1988Wisdom Gear

Lu PingAn explained how a new kind of deity could arise by making World's Logic its own rather than relying on the usual path to Tier 10. He gave divine authority to the Gear of Wisdom, who awakened the machines of Silver Fortress to defend it.

  • Lu PingAn contrasted ordinary Order Gods with a freer path to godhood and reflected on the knowledge and world fragments that had prepared him to pursue it.
  • The Gear of Wisdom proclaimed herself the God of Wisdom of steel and machinery and vowed to support eternal life and intelligent civilization.
  • The Gear of Wisdom awakened machines across Silver Fortress, turning vehicles, buildings, and other technology into living defenders.
  • A giant transformed from the Television Tower toppled over, and Chris asked Lu PingAn why he had given the divine authority to the Gear of Wisdom instead of Zhi Xi.
  • Lu PingAn said the Gear of Wisdom had been loyal and hinted that Zhi Xi had something better, though it was too early for her to receive it.

Ch. 1989Rabbit Hero

Su Da Er, a Rabbit-person scarred by the apocalypse and the loss of his daughter Tina, became a Dragonkin Hero despite longing for death. As Lu PingAn’s War Game activated on the battlefield, its blessings gave Su Da Er hope and a reason to fight on.

  • Su Da Er survived the apocalypse, lost his daughter and wife, and later became a Dragonkin warrior to protect his new family and find peace from his nightmares.
  • Su Da Er rejected Lu PingAn’s offer to pursue more opportunities and instead advanced rapidly along the Hero path while fighting the Undead Army.
  • Wounded and close to death, Su Da Er remembered Tina and realized he did not want to die if no one would remember her.
  • Lu PingAn’s War Game activated, granting allied warriors Sensory Acceleration, Sun’s Protection, and the chance to earn Life Points through killing.
  • Su Da Er picked up his sword again, determined to prove that Tina’s father still had worth.
