Story Role

First Human Expeditions

Shen Mu and Luo Feng entered the Cosmic Ocean through the Toya Black Hole under Chaos City Lord's guidance. They were warned to protect the Human Race's maps and to avoid teleporting outside clearly marked regions. 177

Their first major destination was Qing Feng Realm, where the Hong Alliance maintained a stronghold for expeditions into the forbidden zones. 178

The Cosmic Boat Becomes Human Territory

Shen Mu explored the Cosmic Boat, acquired Jie Fanzi's map and token, and contributed the map to the Human Race. The map covered major outer and inner regions, including scarce core-area information where even True Gods could perish. 180

After obtaining the Cosmic Boat's highest control, Shen Mu gained authority over its space-time and could expel other forces from it. The Human Race consequently claimed the Cosmic Boat as its private territory. 195 196

Cosmic Ocean Alliance Conflict

The Eastern Emperor Holy Land, Purple Moon Holy Land, God-Eye Race, Bone Race, and other forces formed the Cosmic Ocean Alliance to seize the Duan Dong He inheritance from the Human Race. 196

At the Flame Ice Domain, Shen Mu, Luo Feng, Giant Axe Founder, and Mountain Seater confronted the alliance's gathered powerhouses. Shen Mu's displayed strength forced the Cosmic Ocean's major forces to reassess the balance of power. 196 197

Unification Under the Hong Alliance

Shen Mu offered the Eastern Emperor Ancestor an eternal-level inheritance in exchange for joining the Hong Alliance. The Eastern Emperor Holy Land's accession drove the effective unification of the Cosmic Ocean under Shen Mu's leadership. 209

The resulting era enabled powerhouses from formerly hostile forces to exchange knowledge, spar, and verify cultivation insights as members of the same alliance. 210

World Beast Calamity

The Dark Expanse's World Beasts became an existential threat to both the Cosmic Ocean and the Original Universe. Three True Gods—Zhen Jia King, Hao Lei Star Master, and Qiu Yan Ancestor God—were identified as World Beast lackeys seeking to subvert the Cosmic Ocean and destroy its life. 207

When World Beasts attacked miniature universes across the Cosmic Ocean, Shen Mu used his free Cosmic Ocean teleportation to respond immediately. He annihilated thousands of World Beasts at the Godeye Race's miniature universe and suppressed further attacks elsewhere. 227 229

• The Cosmic Boat's Black Vein Stone Pillar Zone contains token spaces of black, cyan, and silver grades; silver-token locations are known only to the two Holy Land Universes. 182
• Traveling from the Cosmic Boat's inner regions back to the Original Universe can take more than 900 years, largely because teleportation is prohibited through much of the Cosmic Boat. 186
