After escaping Spirit Hall, Xu Yu gained new powers, recruited Zhu Zhuyun, and returned with her to serve Bibi Dong. He used the Pope’s Token to approach the Shrek prisoners and began negotiating their release in exchange for concessions from their allies.

• Xu Yu reversed his healing skills against Xiao Wu, then surrendered when Shrek’s team attacked, and Spirit Hall was declared the tournament champion.
• Xu Yu revealed Xiao Wu was a hundred-thousand-year soul beast, and Bibi Dong ordered her capture while Spirit Hall detained the Shrek group.
• After Bibi Dong assigned Xu Yu to the Ninth Elder, Xu Yu fled Spirit City and found Ah Yin’s soul bone, activating the Contract Tome and gaining new abilities.
• Xu Yu saved Zhu Zhuyun from her pursuers, helped her escape by sea, and joined her in hunting spirit beasts, gaining a powerful soul ring and strengthening A Lan.

Xu Yu strengthened his powers, maneuvered through Spirit Hall’s rival factions, and gathered allies while pursuing his plans involving Tang Hao, Xiao Wu, and the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. The arc ended with him near Heaven Dou City, preparing to experiment with his empty Soul Rings and take A Lan out.

• Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue negotiated the release of the Golden Iron Triangle, and Xu Yu then defeated challengers with the Chaos Ancient Tree and arranged Liu Erlong’s marriage to himself.
• Xu Yu used the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud to destroy the Sea God’s consciousness, reached Soul Power rank sixty, and helped A Lan become the new Blue Silver Empress Ah Yin.
• Xu Yu met Zhu Zhuyun’s family, exposed her past with Dai Mubai, and later contracted Feng Xiao Tian, whose Soul Power broke through level fifty.
• Xu Yu upgraded his codex to Platinum, gave Zhu Zhuyun a replica leaf, and left Spirit City with Golden Goose and a Spirit Hall expedition.
• Xu Yu confronted the expedition’s factions, secured a stop in Heaven Dou City, and gained Oscar’s support while Ma Hongjun refused to pledge allegiance.

Xu Yu expanded his influence in the north while searching for powerful soul beasts, and the Snow Empress’s sacrifice raised him to a new level of power. He organized his forces to pursue Tang Hao as Bibi Dong headed north to meet him, leaving Qian Renxue angry and Xu Yu uneasy about the sacrifice’s consequences.

• Xu Yu investigated his unexpected link with Ye Lingling, found Dugu Bo’s medicinal garden, and used its energies to strengthen A Lan and the Treasure Codex’s members before escaping Dugu Bo’s attack.
• Xu Yu returned to Heaven Dou City, rejected Xue Ye’s proposal involving Xue Ke, confronted Ning Rongrong over Oscar, and secured Soul Tool craftsmen before traveling north.
• Xu Yu discovered that fruits from the Chaos Ancient Tree could grant powers, but an imperfect fruit left a fisherman with abilities that could not support life at sea.
• Xu Yu captured and contracted an Ice Jade Scorpion, named it Old Bi, and traveled into the frozen wilderness after the Treasure Codex detected a powerful soul beast.
• Xu Yu and his companions fought a Titan Snow Demon Ape, and an explosion buried the nearby Skywater Academy group as A Lan and Ah Yin treated Xu Yu’s injuries.
• Xu Yu found the Snow Empress in a hidden chamber and secured her agreement to a contract, after which her sacrifice raised him to Level Seventy and gave him a seventh soul ring and a crystalline head soul bone.
• Xu Yu organized the forces traveling with him into groups, established a Soul Tool division, and learned that the transformed Snow Empress would serve as his Life Guardian Battle Beast.
• Xu Yu ordered his forces to pursue Tang Hao, tasked Lou Lan with developing identity tokens and recruiting blacksmiths, and left for Spirit Hall as Bibi Dong set out north to see him.

Xu Yu eliminated Spirit Hall’s pursuing elders, brought Skywater Academy’s women under his control, and secured Bibi Dong’s support for his political ambitions. He then joined A Lan’s campaign against Barak, using Soul Tools to attack Suotuo City.

• Xu Yu killed the Third Elder, Thousand Jun Douluo, and Demon Subduing Douluo, then staged evidence that Tang Hao had destroyed Spirit Hall’s base.
• Xu Yu spared Shrek Academy’s Oscar and Ma Hongjun, while Snow Woman captured Shui Bing’er and Xue Wu and brought them into the Treasure Codex.
• Xu Yu persuaded Shui Bing’er and Xue Wu to cooperate, and he promised to take responsibility for Shui Rou after she revealed her feelings for Tang Hao.
