Jie Ning traveled to Hell, joined the Blade Army, and rose to Captain while cultivating his avatars and building a life with Arannis and Serina. After Stan Bowen established a Four Divine Beasts church on the Bana Continent, Jie Ning helped negotiate with the Blade Army’s Overgod envoy to avoid a conflict over spreading faith.

• Jie Ning refused to rule either empire, strengthened Korur and Dinar’s souls with his Seed method, and sent Korur to the Supreme Plane while Dinar remained behind.
• Jie Ning, Korur, and Dinar traveled to Hell, joined the Blade Army, and fought off an attack by Black Dragon Fortress during their journey to Blade City.
• Jie Ning settled in Blade City, cultivated his avatars, and joined Kala, Mosang, Korur, and Dinar on missions that drove nearby bandits from the Blade Army’s territory.
• Jie Ning won three arena matches and became a Captain as the Blade Army expanded, while Dinar lost his contest and resolved to improve his cultivation.
• Jie Ning’s family grew when the Tree of Light gave birth to Serina, whom Jie Ning and Arannis adopted, and the Bana Continent’s Teleportation Array later brought Stan Bowen to challenge Jie Ning.

Jie Ning expanded his plans across Bana Continent and the Undead Realm while gaining the attention and favor of several Overgods. After learning of a contest for the remaining ownerless Overgod Sparks, he returned to Bana Continent intending to compete through one avatar but had not chosen which one.

• Gould rewarded Jie Ning with a golden leopard-shaped Metal Lifeform, and Jie Ning reunited with Korur and Mosang before joining Beile’s campaign against Black Dragon Fortress.
• Jie Ning helped the Blade Army grow and later developed continent-wide arrays, Communication Devices, Super Intelligence, and the Spirit Seeding Technique to strengthen Bana Continent’s people.
• Jie Ning joined Beile’s expedition to the Blood Peak Continent, where Zi Jing recognized his abilities, made him her Overgod’s Envoy, and worked with him to create Purple Crystal creatures.
• Rias discovered Jie Ning’s Soul Seeds and recruited him as her Overgod’s Envoy in exchange for rewards, including a Nether Fruit that advanced his Death Rule comprehension and transformed his Divine Spark into a Highgodhead.

Jie Ning gained new power and allies while the Overgods fought over Sovereign Sparks, reshaped their territories, and established the Plane Wars. After Zi Jing gave birth to Leis Jing and Jie Ning brought Meini to Bana Continent, he set out to learn how the Four Divine Beasts awakened their Innate Divine Abilities.

• Utred scattered the remaining Sovereign Sparks through Spatial Turbulence, and Jie Ning later claimed a Life Sovereign Spark before Rias gave his Death God Avatar a Death Sovereign Spark.
• Jie Ning built the Life-Death Two Realms Great Formation and helped Bowen strengthen the Four Divine Beasts’ combined attack, while Sovereign Spark battles reshaped the Overlords’ alliances.
• Jie Ning lured Brenu and Sting into his formation and killed them, while Rias and Utred took other Sovereign Sparks and reorganized Hell under the Destruction Overgods.
• The Four Divine Beasts killed Wenman, Zi Jing killed Gagees, and Rias claimed the Water Overlord Sovereign Spark after Jie Ning and Zi Jing helped drive Hulley away.
