The sea within was not broad. From the island's edge to the spatial wall was only four li—roughly two thousand meters. For a whale over a hundred meters long, it was truly cramped. A few flicks of its tail were enough to map out this shallow outer sea, while the waters near the island were too shallow for it to approach at all.
After entering this space, the Deep Sea Demon Whale Emperor's first action was to ram the spatial wall in its true form.
During the first impact, the spatial wall did not deform in the slightest. Only a ripple-like echo spread through the water near the point of impact, lasting several breaths.
It retreated some distance and accelerated into another collision. This strike was stronger than the last, yet the wall still showed no cracks or dents. Only a ring-shaped ripple spread outward beneath the water's surface, gently bouncing back upon reaching the edge of the space.
It tried several more times, probing the wall from different angles. After every collision, it paused briefly to observe the wall's response speed and recovery cycle.
It discovered that no matter which angle it used to strike the wall, it rebounded at the same speed. The spatial wall would briefly ripple, then swiftly return to calm.
It stopped swimming, hovering in the waters near the edge of the space for a while before transforming into human form.
The armored giant's body formed a uniformly dark silhouette beneath the light of the space. The scale patterns across his skin bore faint marks of wear from the repeated impacts, like superficial peeling caused by contact with the water during the collisions.
