Xiao Yun arrived at the Quest Temple. Its layout was fairly simple: at the center of a hall several hundred square meters wide stood a massive crystal over a hundred feet tall. It was completely blank, with no information displayed on it. Four white jade tablets, each ten feet wide and thirty feet tall, floated in the air around it. At the top of each tablet were two large characters: Daily, Weekly, Bounty, and Achievement.
Xiao Yun placed his hand on the crystal in the middle of the hall, and information about the Quest Temple's rules was transmitted to him. After reading them, he understood that the temple existed to encourage every Lord to work harder at completing various tasks, strengthen themselves, and drive the Abyss Faction out of the Vast Wilderness World as quickly as possible. The four tablets beside it each served a different purpose:
The Daily Tablet displayed the tasks a Lord was expected to complete each day. Completing a daily task granted basic rewards and daily Activity Points rewards. Reaching 20, 50, 75, or 100 daily Activity Points would earn certain rewards. Reaching 100 points would grant a total of 200 Spirit Stones.
The Weekly Tablet displayed the tasks Lords needed to complete each week. They were generally much harder than daily tasks. Completing a weekly task granted Spirit Stones and Activity Points. Upon reaching 20, 50, 75, and 100 Activity Points, one could also receive additional Spirit Stone rewards. Completing all tasks would additionally grant Gold Coins, 700 Spirit Stones, 10 Legendary War Spirit Fragments, 500 Breakthrough Stones, 3 Advanced Summoning Contracts, a Key of Destiny, and a purple gift that increased War Spirit Favorability.
The Bounty Tablet contained tasks issued by the native factions of the Vast Wilderness World. Based on their grade, they were divided into eight tiers: ordinary, excellent, rare, epic, legendary, ancient, mythical, and primordial. Accepting a task required 1,800 Bounty Points each time, and the rewards increased with the task's grade. For example, Spirit Stone rewards were 15 for ordinary tasks, 30 for excellent tasks, 60 for rare tasks, 120 for epic tasks, 300 for legendary tasks, 600 for mythical tasks, 900 for ancient tasks, and 1,200 for primordial tasks. Naturally, the higher the task grade, the greater the restrictions on accepting it and the more War Spirits it required. Tasks above the ancient tier also had requirements for War Spirit rank; at least ancient-tier War Spirits were needed to accept them.
The Achievement Tablet mainly recorded the world achievements completed by Lords. For example, when Xiao Yun's World Lord level reached level 10, he could earn an achievement and receive 100 Spirit Stones. At level 20, he could earn a second achievement and receive 200 Spirit Stones, and so on. Xiao Yun immediately claimed all the achievement rewards he had currently completed, receiving a total of 700 Spirit Stones along with various other materials.
After understanding the Quest Temple's rules, Xiao Yun registered his name on the Core Crystal. As he entered his information, the crystal suddenly shot a beam of light toward his brow.
Xiao Yun naturally did not evade it and allowed the light to enter his brow. After absorbing it and figuring out the information it contained, Xiao Yu extended his thumbs and index fingers while curling his other three fingers into his palms. With his right hand above and his left below, he formed a rectangle. A faint light screen immediately appeared between his four fingers. Once it appeared, Xiao Yun pulled his hands apart, stretching the light screen into a display. All the task information was then shown on it.
With this light screen, he would no longer need to visit the Quest Temple to hand in or accept tasks. He could directly accept tasks and claim rewards through the screen. After collecting the rewards for the tasks he had already completed, he tapped the close button in the upper-right corner of the screen. The light screen immediately vanished before Xiao Yun.
After figuring out the Quest Temple, Xiao Yun headed to the final building unlocked this time: the Sect Temple.
After entering the Sect Temple and learning its rules, he understood that it was a place where all sects in the Vast Wilderness World could be managed. Here, every Lord could choose to establish a sect or join another one. However, there was currently only Xiao Yun in the entire Vast Wilderness World, so he could only establish a sect himself.
After giving it some thought, Xiao Yun directly named his sect the Heavenly Court.
A newly established sect started at level 1 and could only have ten sect members, including Xiao Yun. At level 2, it could have twenty members; at level 3, thirty members; and at level 10, a total of one hundred members.
After establishing the sect, Xiao Yun was immediately transported into an independent Sect Space. He discovered that its main structure was an enormous complex of buildings, including the Sect Hall, Treasure Pavilion, Donation Hall, Sect Shop, Sect Skills, Sect Trial, Calamity Challenge, Sect Hegemony, and more.
Xiao Yun went straight to the Donation Hall. There were three donation methods: Gold Coin Donation (20,000 Gold Coins granted 50 Sect Experience and 100 Sect Honor), Spirit Stone Donation (100 Spirit Stones granted 100 Sect Experience and 300 Sect Honor), and Supreme Donation (300 Spirit Stones granted 300 Sect Experience and 900 Sect Honor).
Unfortunately, he did not have enough Spirit Stones at the moment, so Xiao Yun could only choose the Spirit Stone Donation.
After making the donation, he immediately headed to the Sect Trial. To his surprise, the first trial opponent was a puppet of Lord of the Clouds, an ancient great god with more than thirty million health points. Since it was meant for trials, its attack power had been heavily sealed, leaving it with less than one ten-thousandth of its original strength.
Xiao Yun gathered the strongest War Spirits under his command and formed a small team before beginning the challenge.
Nine Heavens Profound Maiden Xuan Huaying, Sovereign of Destiny Chu Ying'e, Nine-headed Giant Snake Xiangliu, Hundred Flowers Fairy Hua Wushuang, and Xiao Yun's own Sword Immortal Spirit Body gave it their all. Yet within the allotted time, they only dealt around 490,000 damage to Lord of the Clouds. After two challenges, they had likely taken less than one million health from Lord of the Clouds's puppet.
The result immediately crushed Xiao Yun's newly budding pride. Still, it was not entirely without gains. As long as he dared to challenge it, he could receive some rewards, so Xiao Yun still obtained 60,000 Gold Coins and 120 Honor points.
At the Calamity Challenge on the other side, Xiao Yun also led his team over to try it. They could only deal less than 10,000 damage. Fortunately, simply issuing a challenge brought rewards. Each challenge granted 17 Awakening Essence, 500 Destiny Imprints, 100 Battle Merits, and 100 Magic Treasure Spiritual Power.
Furthermore, as long as he initiated a challenge, he could receive an additional 50 Spirit Stones each day.
After challenging the Calamity, his time training in the Vast Wilderness World today was nearly over. After allowing all the War Spirits under his command to act freely, Xiao Yun's figure vanished from the Vast Wilderness World.
