Visiting Headmaster Shui

Shui Ruoyan followed his gaze downward and finally realized her current state.

Her face instantly flushed red as if on fire. With a whoosh, she shrank back beneath the covers, wrapping herself tightly from head to toe, leaving only her eyes exposed as she glared at Xiao Yun in embarrassment and anger.

"Y-You, get out!"

Xiao Yun chuckled and placed a cup of plain water on the bedside table. "Breakfast is ready. Yangchun noodles. Get up and come eat."

He turned and walked out of the bedroom, leaving Shui Ruoyan blushing beneath the covers.

After quite some time, Shui Ruoyan finally got dressed at a snail's pace and walked out of the bedroom.

She had changed into a long aqua-blue dress, her long hair simply pinned up behind her head. The blush had yet to fully fade from her face, making her seem more charming than usual and less cold.

Xiao Yun looked at her, amusement flickering in his eyes.

She wasn't young anymore, yet she was still this adorable.

Shui Ruoyan walked over to the table and looked at the bowl of noodles.

They were simple noodles, plain white noodles in clear broth, with a few green scallion slices floating on top and a poached egg nestled in the middle. They looked light and unadorned, yet gave off an enticing fragrance.

"You made this?" Shui Ruoyan asked in surprise.

Xiao Yun nodded. "Try it."

Shui Ruoyan picked up her chopsticks, lifted a strand of noodles, gently blew on it, and put it into her mouth.

The moment the noodles entered her mouth, her eyes widened slightly.

They were springy and smooth, while the broth was fresh and rich. Though seemingly simple, they carried an indescribable warmth.
