Inside the Watanabe Family's barbecue restaurant.
"Yūske, your family's barbecue is so delicious. It could compete with the Akimichi Clan's barbecue."
Tsunade gave a thumbs-up and praised it sincerely.
"It's alright. As long as you like it."
Along the way, Yūske, who retained memories of his past life, had done his best to cater to Tsunade's preferences, and the two quickly became familiar with each other.
"By the way, about the training you mentioned, is there anything you don't understand?"
After learning that Yūske was merely a talented civilian ninja, Tsunade hoped she could help this like-minded friend with his training.
"I'm a taijutsu-type ninja, and I haven't mastered many ninjutsu. I heard that aside from being proficient in medical ninjutsu, you're also excellent at taijutsu."
After thinking for a moment, Yūske laid out his original self's training situation in full. "Without a teacher to guide me, and because of my family circumstances, I've had to figure out all my training out on my own."
"I lack offensive techniques. Now that I've earned some merits, I want to exchange them for some ninjutsu. That's why I invited you here—I wanted to ask which ninjutsu would suit me better."
After hearing that, Tsunade frowned and asked, "Can you tell me your chakra nature?"
"My chakra nature is wind." In truth, Yūske had planned to develop the Rasenshuriken himself. Since he had happened to meet Tsunade, he wanted to see what sort of ninjutsu she might recommend.
At the same time, he secretly sighed to himself. Other transmigrators all had systems backing them up—they could awaken Susanoo at ten and slay Kaguya at twenty. Yet he could only slowly feel his way forward on his own.
Seeing Yūske sigh, Tsunade could not help feeling a trace of pity. She understood the hardships of civilian ninja all too well. Take Jiraiya—if he had not encountered the Third Hokage, who knew what he would be like now?
"I don't know much about Wind Style either. I'll help you sort through it when I get home."
Now that she understood Yūske's needs, even if it were not to repay his favor at the Jonin Meeting, Tsunade would still do everything she could to help him. After all, she did not want to see a talented ninja go to waste simply because no one had taught him.
After they had eaten and drunk their fill, Tsunade got up to say goodbye.
As Yūske watched Tsunade's departing figure, his arm was suddenly nudged by an elbow.
"Son, I wouldn't object if you married such a pretty girl."
"Mom, what are you thinking? That's the First Hokage's granddaughter—Lady Tsunade!"
Watanabe Meiko covered her mouth, her eyes widening as she stared straight at her son. Then, with a serious expression, she made a cheering gesture at Yūske.
Although Yūske was interested in Tsunade, they had only just met, so it was not easy for him to explain further. Following the map he had memorized in his mind, he ran into the forest.
Since he had only just switched bodies, he needed to properly adapt to it. He performed some of the ninjutsu he had mastered and ran several laps at high speed.
Before receiving a mission to the Front Lines, he planned to train here every day and adapt completely as soon as possible. At the same time, he worried whether his amateur skills would be enough to let him escape if he happened to encounter a jonin squad.
Gradually, both his stamina and chakra were nearly exhausted, and night had completely fallen.
On his way home, Yūske suddenly spotted something strange. A fruit covered in bizarre white patterns appeared before him.
He searched through his memories and confirmed that this world had no fruit shaped like this. It looked more like a Devil Fruit from One Piece.
"A Devil Fruit?"
Yūske quickly plucked it, then concealed himself. After some time, once he had confirmed there was no one else nearby, he finally relaxed.
Unable to determine whether it really was a Devil Fruit, Yūske hesitated for a moment before taking out an antidote from his ninja tool pouch, just in case.
He took a bite. The disgusting taste instantly surged into his mouth, but he forced down the nausea and ate the whole thing.
After waiting in place for a while, Yūske suddenly felt a change in his chakra. It seemed as if a different kind of power had been added to it.
Feeling the changes in his body, Yūske mimicked the method of releasing chakra externally. He opened his palm and released energy forward.
At that moment, he was shocked to see countless white threads emanating from his palm.
"What is this???" As he looked at the white threads in his hand, a familiar figure surfaced in his mind.
Was this the String-String Fruit?
Then Yūske looked up at the sky. The fruit had been given to him, so why not throw in some Haki while they were at it?
Inside the Hokage's Office, Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned as he examined the seemingly ordinary file before him.
"Watanabe Yūske. Entered the academy at six, graduated at nine, became a Chunin at fourteen, and a Special Jonin at eighteen." He pondered to himself, How much courage would a civilian ninja need to openly support Tsunade at the Jonin Meeting? Hiruzen Sarutobi developed a deep curiosity toward this Special Jonin named Watanabe Yūske.
"Where is Watanabe Yūske now?" Hiruzen Sarutobi turned toward the Anbu kneeling on one knee and asked.
"After dining with Lady Tsunade, Watanabe Yūske went alone to train in the northern forest," the Anbu replied.
"Alright, you may go." Hiruzen Sarutobi waved his hand, and the Anbu vanished in an instant.
Then Hiruzen Sarutobi took out a crystal ball and performed the Telescopic Jutsu, beginning his search for Watanabe Yūske in the forest.
In the forest, relying on the vivid memories he retained from when he had just transmigrated, Yūske displayed Doflamingo's techniques to their fullest.
"Hmm, I'll call this String Style from now on."
"String Style: Five-Colored String!" Yūske shaped his hand like a beast's claw and aimed it at the tree before him. From each of his five fingers shot an almost transparent, thin thread, which sliced straight through the tree's trunk like blades.
Sure enough, his original body had already been a taijutsu ninja, so using it felt fairly natural.
At last, he saved some of his strength and set off for home, ending the day's training.
However, he had not realized that every move he made had been watched by a pervy old man.
