Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace, the palace master's great hall.
The interior of the great hall was simple and elegant. Pale jade dotted the surroundings like stars beneath the vault of heaven, while wisps of yuan power formed a spiritual mist that slowly rose, making the place seem like an immortal realm.
Within that immortal realm, the Taiqing Palace Master sat quietly. The aura around her was tranquil and distant, as though she were truly the master of a heavenly palace, far removed from the turbid air of the mortal world.
The Taiqing Palace Master opened her eyes, slowly rose, and paced over to a table not far away. She extended a fair, delicate jade hand as smooth as a young girl's and took down a pale-green jade pendant.
The jade pendant was not beautiful. The patterns on it were somewhat crude, and though the materials used to refine it were quite precious, they were hardly worth mentioning to the master of a Samsara Stage sect.
At the center of the jade pendant, a golden light of essence spirit flickered softly. Yet at this moment, that essence spirit was like a feeble candle flame, dim and dull, seeming as though it might go out at any moment.
The Taiqing Palace Master's gaze fell on the jade pendant, and a ripple stirred in her eyes, cold and clear as a deep pool.
"So it has come to this."
In the great hall, the aloof and proud figure stood in silence. After a long hush, a cold sigh sounded.
In Qianhai Sect, the Great Elder stared at the soul tablet on the verge of shattering, anxiety secretly burning in his heart.
However, when one entered seclusion to break through, outsiders found it difficult to interfere. No matter how deeply worried he was, there
