Lin Dong originated from Qingyang Town on the Tianxuan Continent. Even without the Stone Talisman, he was regarded as a “Child of the Plane,” favored by the will of his world; the Ancestral Stone Spirit later confirmed that the Symbol Ancestor had chosen him and that he possessed the affinity to refine multiple Ancestral Symbols. 1 328

He first met Mu Zi while competing with her for an ancient wood at an underground market. After he purchased it for ten Yang Yuan Pills, they agreed to investigate its secret together. Lin Dong failed to open it by force, while Mu Zi used precision to unlock it—only for the wood to turn to dust. 37

Lin Dong’s early rise was driven by conflict. He defeated and killed Wei Tong in Flame City, then later overcame Lin Langtian, the rival responsible for grievances against Lin Dong’s family.
