Boris was about to charge forward when he suddenly heard a voice coming from nowhere. "Don't kill him. We still need to get information out of him!"

Boris let out a low growl before heading downstairs. Before long, continuous gunfire rang out from the first floor and the courtyard.

Murphy looked downstairs and saw Boris shifting back and forth between human and bat form. By leaping and sprinting at high speed, he kept the guards from tracking him, and their bullets struck nothing but empty air.

Even when the occasional shot hit him, his incredible regenerative ability made him completely unfazed.

Yet he seemed to have eyes in the back of his head. No matter where his enemies hid to fire at him, he did not even need to look to know their positions. The moment he got an opening, he killed them instantly.

Murphy guessed that becoming a vampire had also granted Boris a bat's echolocation ability.

A few minutes later, the gunfire gradually died down, and Boris came upstairs covered in blood.

"Not bad. Have you gotten your sanity back?" Murphy asked as he revealed himself.

"My head is still a little heavy, but I can control myself now."

Boris rubbed his head. After the slaughter just now—especially after drinking deeply from so many drug dealers—the explosive bloodlust in his heart had gradually subsided. Though he had killed many people, he had remained rational. He had not touched the girls playing in the courtyard, allowing them to flee.

Murphy nodded and examined Boris.

He had not expected vampires to be this capable in a fight. It was quite a surprise.
