At first, it was only a cramp in his abdomen. Then the pain rapidly spread through every part of his body, as if flames were burning between his muscles and organs, as if his entire body was melting.
He involuntarily dropped to his knees, his body convulsing violently. Amid a series of cracking sounds, his body suddenly shrank by a size, then his black robe turned into feathers, his feet became sharp talons, and his arms gradually transformed into wings.
Suddenly, a raven shot up into the storm. At first, it beat its wings as if it had gone mad, but it quickly adapted to its new body and began to fly steadily.
It tumbled up and down through the rain as a shadow-like substance crept over its body. The raven became like a fighter jet fitted with a jet engine, its flight speed soaring in an instant. In a single moment, it crossed hundreds of meters and kept accelerating. Suddenly, a cone-shaped blast of air erupted behind the raven, and the surrounding downpour was swept clear.
A sonic boom!
The raven's speed had already surpassed the speed of sound, making it like a streak of pitch-black lightning in the storm.
Murphy once again felt the joy he had experienced when he first learned the Flight Spell. Perhaps it was because this form was smaller, lighter, and better suited to flight, or perhaps it was a case of one plus one being greater than two. In any case, his flying speed had far exceeded what it had been before. Supersonic speed was nothing unusual now; he even felt that reaching two or three times the speed of sound would not be especially difficult.
Whether it was due to the high-level Animagus factor, or because crows themselves were intelligent enough, Murphy
