Background

Lang Feng grew up hunting in the mountains with his parents. His father died after being mauled by wolves while saving him when Lang Feng was six, leaving Lang Feng and his mother in hardship. His mother taught him to read and write, while his own hunting experience gave him exceptional physical strength; he had killed a Siberian tiger bare-handed before entering Ouyang Liang’s service. 2 4

Ouyang Liang exploited Lang Feng’s need to obtain treatment for his sick mother, ordering him to fight Zhang Xingfeng. Lang Feng’s determination to protect his mother awakened his natural pressure, but Zhang Xingfeng defeated him with a superior aura. Rather than punish him, Zhang Xingfeng guided his internal energy through the Taiji Yin Yang Art and arranged for Lang Feng’s mother to be moved from the Ouyang residence for medical care. 3 4
