Background / History

Xiao Lin was originally a prince of the Primordial Era. His parents were murdered by his uncle during his youth, forcing him to endure humiliation, escape, and train his body solely for revenge. During his eventual retaliation, he met Hong Xiao, then a guard commander; she joined him in overthrowing the king. Xiao Lin, Hong Xiao, and their companions later crossed a vast desert to reach the Tianya Mountain Range. 86 265

In the western Tianya Mountain Range, Xiao Lin rose from a purple-clad leader in Wang Family Village to a red-clad leader controlling a casino in Huayang City, then a white-clad leader after a martial-arts competition. He subsequently took command of rival Wang and Shangguan factions, absorbed further forces during the western upheaval, and amassed sixty thousand troops. 72

Zhang Xingfeng sensed Xiao Lin across more than a thousand miles and sought him out. When their divine artifacts reacted to one another, Xiao Lin invited Zhang Xingfeng to join Pangu's two-person sect. Their ages established Zhang as senior brother and Xiao Lin as junior brother. 72 73 74

Xiao Lin's desire for vengeance deepened after the Fengyang Tribe attacked the Yitu Tribe, abducted Hong Xiao, and caused the death of their unborn child.
