Background

Before the apocalypse, Wang Tao worked in the film industry and was acquainted with director Zhao Yuan through their shared hometown and profession. Zhao Yuan was married to Wang Tao’s neighbor, Ding Yuqin. 1

During the initial apocalypse, Wang Tao helped Ding Yuqin collect water and supported her while she feared Zhao Yuan had died. He later left Water Marsh Base, where he had stored supplies and left guidance for future survivors. 20 594
