A suffocating stench of rot hit them head-on.

It had been dead for at least a month. Its body was decaying and reeking, covered from head to toe in writhing maggots.

The sheer disgust was beyond description.

Even the bloodthirsty rats kept their distance from it.

The corpse let out a strange laugh.

Liu Di looked closely and saw that a large hole had rotted through the corpse's throat, packed with densely squirming maggots.

The laughter was merely the eerie sound produced as wind from the window blew into its throat.

Then Liu Di grabbed Queen Oya's slender, jade-like hand.

Aoya froze. "What are you doing?"

Liu Di furrowed his brows. "I want to know whether you're real."
