A bright, beautiful morning.
Gu Fan, dressed in white, crouched beneath a peach tree and conjured a neat square of floral cloth through meditation, spreading it over a smooth stone.
She then turned and retrieved a food box from the tree hole, carefully pinching out pieces of Peach Blossom Cake and arranging them neatly atop the cloth. There were more than twenty pieces, all square and orderly.
She gathered up the cloth, tied a bow at the top, then carried it in one hand. Rising to her feet, she smiled faintly at Liu Di, who stood nearby. "All right, the luggage is ready. We can set off."
Liu Di smiled teasingly as well. "We're going to explore T7. Why did you pack like we're going sightseeing?"
Carrying the cloth bundle and clasping her hands behind her back, Gu Fan smiled. "Wherever we go, as long as I'm with you, isn't it a journey?"
The two exchanged smiles, then walked hand in hand out of the Peach Blossom Grove.
But two figures had already been waiting for them.
One was fairly upright in stature, clad in fitted black clothes with a cloth belt cinched tightly around his waist and a massive cleaver strapped to his back.
The other was a gentle, beautiful woman in a purple dress.
Gu Fan froze slightly. "Gu Xiao, Ning Xiang, what are you doing?"
Gu Xiao, dressed in fitted clothes, sniffed and puffed out his chest. "The ace warrior is preparing for battle."
Ning Xiang looked somewhat helpless. "I came to see the ace warrior off to battle."
Liu Di was equally confused and looked at Gu Xiao. "What battle are you going off to?"
Gu Xiao shot Liu Di a glance. "Brother-in-law, you're actually Di Ba. With that as the premise, isn't there nothing left
