Li Wei's good days had come to an end here. Although he was a special individual who required careful care, they could not let him die, much less develop serious health problems.
After collecting a full bottle of "genetic fluid," the blonde nurse with big wavy hair never appeared again. Replacing her were lab-coated engineering men who paced around with excited expressions and occasionally revealed strange smiles.
Bone marrow, gastric fluid, muscle, fat, hair—every part of his body had been ruthlessly scraped over by these people. The demand those people in white coats had for the flesh on his body was simply terrifying. His body had already been cut with dozens of small wounds.
At least a pound of flesh had been cut from him. Li Wei's expressions grew fewer, and he began to consider whether to simply kill himself or keep enduring while waiting for the slim chance of escape.
During his repeated transfers to and from the laboratory, he had roughly memorized its layout. But it was useless, because he had no idea whether the laboratory was aboveground or underground, nor how many guards there were outside.
Li Wei had spotted no fewer than thirty cameras alone. Under such tight security measures, trying to escape was undoubtedly wishful thinking.
Nearly half a month passed like this before Li Wei finally met the person in charge of the base: a brown-haired middle-aged man whose white lab coat over his suit looked utterly out of place.
Several Blackwatch squad members stood behind Raymond McMullen. With a satisfied smile, he looked at Li Wei and slowly entered the pure white room filled with the smell of disinfectant.

After saying that, the smile on his face blossomed as brightly as a chrysanthemum in summer.
Other than his face, Li Wei's entire body was wrapped in bandages. After adapting for some time, if nothing else, his English had at least improved.

Li Wei only replied to Raymond's warm reception with that classic American insult. He did not give him a pleasant look.
Unable to see any hope of escape, he simply gave up thinking about whether he could escape.
Waiting for an accident to happen in the base and making meticulous escape plans were all nonsense.
If a heavily guarded base could be entered and exited so easily, wouldn't intelligence agencies around the world be like open stores, mechanically letting people come and go?

Hearing a wonderful greeting from his homeland come out of a foreigner's mouth, Raymond's expression immediately turned cold. But soon, the corners of his lips lifted again.
With his hands clasped behind his back, he looked down disdainfully and calmly at Li Wei, who sat on a single sofa wrapped like a mummy. "More than twenty top biology scholars successfully cultivated a new virus for you. Don't worry! Since this virus was cultivated using your body, we value it greatly. "Hmph! Take him away!" Seeing that Li Wei refused to listen to reason, Raymond said no more. With a wave of his hand, the tall, muscular Blackwatch squad members behind him quickly stepped forward, roughly dragged Li Wei up, and took him after Raymond.

Looking at Raymond's back, he suddenly sprang up, broke free from the restraint of the two hulking men beside him, and kicked Raymond squarely in the ass.
Raymond had not expected anyone to kick him in the ass. Li Wei's sudden kick sent him stumbling two steps forward before he fell face-first onto the ground, his face making intimate contact with the floor.
Seeing his plan succeed, Li Wei burst into loud laughter. But a heavy punch soon landed in his stomach. Several wounds on his body that had not fully healed instantly split open, and the white bandages wrapped around him visibly began turning red.

One hand covered his mouth and nose while the other pointed at Li Wei. He trembled with anger and urgency. Seeing the Blackwatch soldiers preparing to throw more punches, Raymond hurriedly stopped them. "Don't hit him! If he dies, I'll use you for testing the new drugs!"
Upon hearing Raymond's words, all the soldiers stopped. After exchanging glances, they directly hoisted Li Wei by all four limbs, leaving him completely unable to struggle.
Li Wei did not care in the slightest. Instead, he laughed even more arrogantly.

"You! Hmph!" Li Wei's arrogant laughter made Raymond burn with rage, but since Li Wei was Subject Zero and the core of the entire Redlight Project, he had no choice but to endure it.

Raymond chose to have the squad members restraining Li Wei leave first while he went to clean the blood from his nose.
A string of laughter echoed through the base as Li Wei was taken into a spacious octagonal laboratory. Metal covered every surface, and in the center stood an experimental bed surrounded by mechanical arms. Several researchers in protective suits kept fiddling with incomprehensible devices beside it.
After Li Wei entered, several belts bound him to the bed. This time, even his fingers and toes were not spared. He was practically tied up layer upon layer.
Glancing sideways, Li Wei saw an observation window above and to one side. Behind it stood rows of lab-coated personnel, as well as several high-ranking officers in military uniforms and elite figures in suits.
After looking around, Li Wei suddenly had the illusion that he had become Captain America. Was he about to undergo a super-soldier enhancement?
After the Blackwatch squad soldiers left, several people in protective suits began attaching special metal tabs to Li Wei's body. Once they were finished, they left as well.
The large door opened again. Two people in white protective suits carefully carried in a large box. Everyone behind the observation window rose in unison. Raymond McMullen also entered the observation platform and deliberately turned on the loudspeaker to introduce the item inside the box to everyone.

Although he was deeply dissatisfied with Li Wei's continued sneering, Raymond was still excited by the imminent start of the experiment.

As though breathing beneath the surface of water, Li Wei felt his heart stop beating. Yet all he could still feel was pain. His body did not lose vitality because his heart had stopped working. Instead, it began growing savagely.
The virus injected into his body invaded every part of Li Wei in an instant, yet his consciousness remained clear, forcing him to continuously experience the pain radiating from his body.
Even compared to the Childbirth Experience Center he had once visited, Li Wei dared to guarantee that their highest level of pain could never have been as intense as what he was feeling now!
