Background / History

After meeting Alex Mercer, Li Wei agrees to exchange arms with him to acquire each other’s abilities. Unlike Alex, Li Wei remains principally focused on gaining power and finding a route home 8. He later reaches the Ark ship Dawn, where he identifies himself as a traveler from a parallel universe and demonstrates his transformations to Shi Dong and Captain Fan Guojun 25.

Using the Key, Li Wei travels between worlds. His explorations include a submerged city, an American town, a Yautja hunting ground, a world afflicted by urban legends, and the Empire ruled through nobles and Teigu users 27 29 61 92 184. His repeated assimilations expand both his combat capacity and his knowledge of each world’s political structures.

In the Empire, Li Wei kills abusive Imperial forces after discovering murdered children in Kivnora Forest. He takes responsibility for Akame and Kurome, teaching them survival, literacy, combat principles, and a breathing technique while supplying them with weapons, clothing, and Blacklight Steeds 184 192 197 198 200.

Li Wei eventually organizes the Victory Day movement against the Empire’s nobles and wealthy merchants.
