Background

Ye Feng first appears as a Snake Person with all-attribute Dou Qi, the divine-tier Spirit Devouring Art, and the Three Thousand Burning Flame. The Spirit Devouring Art allows him to absorb not only Heavenly Flames, but spiritual entities and treasures of heaven and earth; his recovery-focused Three Thousand Star Body is known as the Immortal Body 2 15.

He built his early reputation in the Tagor Desert by defeating mercenaries, freeing the snake woman Die, and taking her with him. He later named her Cai Die after the Butterfly Sand Flower, giving her an identity and a new beginning 17 19.

Although he publicly uses the name Feng Ye and is widely regarded as a prodigy of unfathomable background, Ye Feng eventually reveals that he is a Snake Person rather than an outsider. He later discloses increasingly extraordinary origins: he comes from beyond the domain, has a connection to the Upper Realm, and claims that Tou She Ancient God was his servant 223 283 497 568.

After awakening memories connected to the Bodhi Ancient Tree, Ye Feng explains that the Dou Qi Continent was created by him and that two versions of himself exist: Ye Feng, described as the “evil” self, and Feng Ye, described as the “righteous” self. Ye Feng claims that Feng Ye once killed him, after which he survived through the Bodhi Ancient Tree and reincarnated on Earth 508 570.

Appearance

Ye Feng commonly appears in human form as a handsome young man, but can reveal a purplish-black Snake Person tail. His eyes are repeatedly described as star-like or dark purple, and he is often recognized by the imposing aura created by his flames, equipment, and Battle Qi 118 223 283.

  • Can shift between human and Snake Person forms 283.
  • Has a purplish-black snake tail in his true racial form 283.
  • Uses masks, black robes, and alternate identities when concealing his involvement in conflicts 115 122.
  • His transformed combat states may manifest dragon-like pressure, golden light, armor, or immense bodily enlargement 312 459.

Personality

Ye Feng is outwardly calm, confident, and difficult to intimidate. He frequently hides his true cultivation until an opponent has committed to underestimating him, then answers with stacked secret techniques, specialized equipment, or overwhelming firepower 115 128 262.

He is ambitious in both cultivation and influence. Upon learning that Feng Ye Pavilion had been created and that he had been made its Pavilion Master, he immediately decided that the organization should expand across the Northwest Continent and later into the Central Continent 280 345.

Despite his provocative humor and habit of manipulating a situation to his advantage, he values loyalty and reciprocates it. He protects affiliated families, rewards subordinates, provides rare Battle Skills and pills to allies, and offers powerful figures positions within Feng Ye Pavilion rather than simply eliminating them 334 345 425.
