Bang, bang, bang. A knock sounded at the door.
"Little brother, we're leaving! Are you ready yet?" Li Xin called as she very unladylike pounded on the door.
"Ready, ready." The door opened, and Long Haochen emerged from the room.
Li Xin's eyes lit up. "Wow, so handsome."
Long Haochen wore a white, narrow-sleeved warrior's uniform embroidered with silver dragon patterns. It was clean, fitted, and crisp, with a small silver dragon embroidered on each side of the collar. At the center of his belt was set a Stone of Light that gave off a faint aura of light.
His medium-length black hair fell over his shoulders, and his pale golden eyes, like a field of stars, were clear and translucent. His lips were red, his teeth white, and his skin smooth as jade. With his high nose bridge and slightly deep-set eyes, there was not the slightest flaw to be found.
In merely half a year, Long Haochen had grown a little taller still. His figure had become even more slender, without exaggerated bulging muscles, yet perfectly proportioned in a golden ratio.
Long Haochen had already been dazzling in his usual plain clothes. Now that he had changed into this somewhat splendid warrior's uniform, even women would be jealous of him.
Long Haochen awkwardly adjusted his clothes. "Sis, do I really need to dress this formally? I'm not used to it."
Li Xin had specially ordered this outfit for him. Aside from ordinary cloth garments, the only clothes Long Haochen owned were the standard-issue warrior uniforms distributed by the Haoyue Branch Temple.
