Background / History

Long Haochen was raised in Odin Town by his mother, Bai Yue, while his father was absent from his early life. Bai Yue’s exceptional beauty brought repeated harassment and hardship to their household; Haochen inherited her features but had clear blue eyes as a child. 5

He trained for a year as a knight squire under Balza. After initially failing the assessment, he knelt before his peers and begged for another chance, then defeated Jiang Hu through an unconventional sword technique. His persistence, compassion, bravery, and willingness to sacrifice impressed observers even before his aptitude was fully understood. 1 2 4

After protecting an injured mute girl from pursuers, Haochen was evaluated by a white-clothed figure, who judged his physical aptitude merely above average but considered his knightly temperament potentially limitless. The figure enhanced Haochen’s potential through the power of a Spirit Furnace. 4

Haochen later trained under the harsh instructor Xingyu, enduring Owl Ant caves, medicinal recovery, combat drills, and dangerous hunts. He eventually learned that Xingyu was Long Xingyu, his father, and chose to continue training under him to become a powerful knight. 9 11 20
