Longinus helped the Marines steer a sprawling pirate war, then returned to training recruits before hunting down Felix and recovering the Fear-Fear Fruit. As Apophis, he killed Eric and spread word of Momonosuke and Izuminokami Kanesada, leaving Kin'emon and Momonosuke to change course toward Zou.

• Stussy warned Big Mom about West's alliance, but Big Mom chose to target Fish-Man Island as the Marines and Whitebeard prepared for war.
• West recruited Aldrich, Claude, Tiffany, and Lefa to aid the Marines, while Whitebeard ordered his commanders to retaliate against Big Mom's attack on Fish-Man Island.
• Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, and the Marines clashed, while Longinus fought Katakuri and the Marines later pursued West's pirate alliance.
• Longinus captured Tiffany after West revealed himself as CP9 agent Zero Three, then reported the Queen's Pirate Crew's destruction to Dragon.

The arc ended with Longinus pursuing Devil Fruit research through Judge and questioning what Justice meant when the Government and royalty concealed Flevance’s deadly disease.

• Apophis defeated and killed Chinjao, wiped out the Eight Treasures Navy, and pursued Momonosuke to Zou, where he killed the Kōzuki heir despite the efforts of Nekomamushi, Kin'emon, Vista, and Raizo.
• Apophis and Mihawk fought on Zou until Kin'emon and the others intervened, prompting Mihawk to end the duel and leave, and news of the battle earned Apophis a five-hundred-million bounty.
• Longinus began his North Blue internship at Branch 666, killed Lieutenant Commander Phil for leaking operations, and used the corrupt Marines’ ties to pirates to launch attacks against pirate crews.
• Longinus exposed Barrels as Sengoku’s undercover agent, agreed to train his son Doli, who chose the name Drake, and killed Crocodile Gustav after defeating the Crocodile Pirates.
• Doflamingo ordered Vergo to destroy the Vinsmoke Family’s North Blue base, while Longinus confronted Judge over the family’s assassination business and survived Judge’s attempt to test his strength with a cannon.

Longinus exposed the Flevance crisis, recruited Vergo, and chose Byrnndi World as his graduation target. He defeated World on Beast Island, took in the griffin Minos, and returned to Marine Headquarters with a growing reputation but accepted only a commodore promotion.

• Longinus exposed the Flevance royal family’s concealment of Amber Lead’s dangers, quelled the riots, and shot the King after the people condemned him as a traitor.
• Longinus accepted Vergo into the Marines, then Drake and Vergo chose to follow him as he prepared to leave North Blue.
• Zephyr gave the trainees six months to hunt a target, and Longinus chose Byrnndi World, whom he had monitored for two years.
• On the way to Beast Island, Longinus learned that World sought Big Mom’s backing with a captured griffin and rejected Yasopp’s proposal to cooperate with the Red Hair Pirates.
• Longinus challenged World at the banquet and fought him as Shanks and Katakuri clashed nearby, until World unleashed a devastating storm of chains.
• Longinus tore through the storm and killed World, while the surviving griffin accepted him as its master and received the name Minos.

• Sengoku taught Longinus that Conqueror’s Haki could grow into a King's Domain, then Longinus returned to G2 and learned that Avalo Pizarro ruled Lodestar Island.
• Longinus promised Cobra and the allied Kings an end to the war, spread a rumor about Pizarro seeking an Ancient Weapon, and identified his control over the people as the power of a Nekomata fruit.
• Longinus defeated and killed Pizarro, freed the controlled citizens, and reported the matter to the Five Elders, who gave him a Den Den Mushi for direct contact.
• Longinus visited Dr. Vegapunk’s base with Borsalino, chose the Fruit of Judgment, and used its power to create an empowered spear that destroyed the White Dragon.
