Michael Eisner and his group personally saw Aaron Anderson off, then sat down on the sofa with Dick Cook, the newly appointed chairman of Disney Films, and Peter Schneider, president of Disney Animation.

"Next, we'll suppress DreamWorks' films in terms of screenings and promotion. With Dawn and Viacom involved, we'll get twice the results with half the effort!"

It was clear that Michael Eisner seemed to be in quite a good mood.

Ever since replacing Joe Roth as chairman of Disney Films Group, Dick Cook had become Michael Eisner's absolute confidant. At this moment, however, he spoke up with a reminder. "But given Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg's credentials in animated and live-action films..."

"American theater chains probably won't target them too harshly."

Michael Eisner waved a hand. "It doesn't matter. As long as Universal can intercept them during key release windows."

"Besides, those key release windows are Universal's focus to begin with. It can't really be called interception. In Hollywood, no one can contend with Aaron Anderson—not even Steven Spielberg."

As he spoke, Michael Eisner looked at Dick Cook and sighed. "The problem now is that Disney's productions are simply too poor. We're lagging behind across the board!"

Dick Cook lowered his head without a word. He had previously been in charge of Buena Vista International's distribution company and did not have much of an outstanding record in film production.

The main issue was Disney's production division, which had only gotten worse year after year.

Michael Eisner shook his head and turned to Peter Schneider. "Peter, what is Roy doing these days?"

Roy Disney Jr., the last member of the Disney family still working at Disney, was the CEO of Disney Animation Group and jointly managed Disney's animation division with Peter Schneider.
