After the successful attack, Gajil immediately ordered a pursuit.

"Brothers, charge!"

"Charge!"

"Kill all these bastards from the Western Continent!"

"Kill them!"

Compared to the high morale of the Gajil, the ambushed Western Continent scattered like lambs to the slaughter.

"Run! The demons of Ishgar are coming!"

"Brothers, run! If they catch us, we're dead!"

"Run!"

Watching the Evil Dragon of the Western Continent scattering below, Welsh felt something was amiss, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. So, he led his team to remain in the air, closely monitoring the battle below and ready to provide support at any moment. Compared to the battle-hardened Welsh, Gajil, who was in charge of directing the attack, was far inferior in both combat command and crisis awareness, making him even less able to see the enemy's unusual behavior.

The two sides continued their pursuit and escape, moving forward in this manner. Unbeknownst to them, they gradually moved away from the small mountain range and eventually reached the border between their respective camps.

"Um?"

Looking at the Western Continent camp not far away, Welsh suddenly felt a sense of foreboding. Just then, he finally realized what was wrong with this small unit—it was too orderly! The direction and speed of their retreat after the attack were too synchronized! Even the panicked expressions on their faces seemed to have been rehearsed countless times, completely identical. In an instant, a chilling sense of crisis enveloped him.

Realizing it might be a trap, Welsh immediately shouted a warning and led his team to meet up with his old friend.

"Gajil, come back quickly, this is a trap!"

"Um?"

Gajil, pressing his advantage, stopped in his tracks upon hearing his old friend's shout, looking bewildered. He turned to Welsh, hoping for a reasonable explanation from his best buddy. However, instead of a reply, he was met with a sudden and unexpected attack.

"Whoosh!"

"Whoosh!"

Countless multicolored Dragon Breath shot out from below, completely engulfing Gajil and Welsh who had come to their rescue. The enemy troops who had been 'fleeing in panic' in front of them hurriedly turned their cannons around and launched an attack on them.

"Boom"

In an instant, smoke and screams flew together, and the explosion shone as brightly as the sun.

"Stop breathing! Capture him alive!"

At Glaide's command, everyone in the Western Continent camp stopped their breath attacks and rushed out of their hiding places, crowding towards the center of the explosion.

"Whoosh!"

"Whoosh!"

A dozen or so beams of energy of varying thickness shot out from the center of the explosion, heading toward the Western Continent camp that was tightening its encirclement. Then, about twenty figures rushed toward the gap in the encirclement through the smoke.

"Talib, quickly seal the encirclement, don't let them escape!"

Seeing Glaide giving him orders, Talib was extremely displeased, but for the sake of the bigger picture, he could only reluctantly obey.

Although Welsh reacted quickly, they were caught off guard and still couldn't escape their fate. Looking at Welsh and the others trapped in the center of the trap, Glaide didn't immediately give the order to attack. Instead, he sent someone forward to persuade them to surrender.

"Ishgar dragon brothers, you are surrounded! Surrender now!"

"Don't worry, as long as you give up resistance and surrender obediently, we won't make things difficult for you!"

"My dragon brothers of Ishgar, we are all dragons, why fight amongst ourselves? Surrender now!"

Upon hearing the Imperial Army's call, Welsh and Gajil exchanged a glance, then, with perfect understanding, unleashed two breaths at the speaker. Immediately afterward, they gave the order to break through the encirclement.

"Whoosh!"

"Brothers, charge with me!"

"Roar!"

"Charge!"

Led by Welsh and his companion, the tenth and eleventh squads charged toward the weakest point in the encirclement, attempting to break through the enemy's encirclement and return to the main camp.

Watching the tenth and eleventh squads charging desperately, Glaide knew that persuasion to surrender was impossible, so he decisively issued the order to capture Welsh and the others alive.

"Listen up, everyone! Close the encirclement and capture these guys alive!"

As the leaders of both sides issued the order to attack, a fierce battle ensued.

Chigengster Plains, Ishgar Camp, Main army tent

"What Welsh and Gajil up to? Why haven't we heard from them for so long?"

Looking at the sun overhead and then at the northwest of the plain, Sage Dragon, who was waiting for the good news, shouted angrily.

"Bell, don't be in such a hurry. Maybe they played around a bit longer after they finished off their opponent and forgot about the time!"

"Hmm... you have a point. Hmph! If that's the case, then I'll set aside some time to play with them!"

Seeing the Sage Dragon standing there, stubbornly brooding, the Sacred Dragon shook his head speechlessly, then began to ponder the menu for tonight's dinner. Just then, a figure (uh... typo, it's Dragon Shadow!) hurriedly rushed into the tent. Upon seeing the Sage Dragon and the Sacred Dragon, the newcomer bowed respectfully, then, panting heavily, shouted, "Sage Dragon, Sacred Dragon, just... just... just now, a patrol came... came to report that... they said... there were sounds of fighting coming from the border area between enemy and friendly forces, and it seems to be quite large!"

"The border area between enemy and friendly forces? Sounds of fighting?"

After listening to the scout captain's report, Belserion's brows furrowed slightly. After a moment, Sage Dragon slammed his fist on the table and roared, "Welsh and Gajil, those two idiots, they're infuriating! I clearly ordered them to finish the battle before the enemy reached their destination, but instead, they let the enemy escape to the border area."

"Alsman, go immediately and inform Hertz to lead the rest of the Seventh Squadron to support Welsh and his men. They must eliminate this small force before the main enemy force arrives!"

"Yes, sir! I'll take care of it right away!"

Chigengster Plains, a group of hills in the northwest

Suddenly, the weeds on the top of one of the mounds moved without wind, revealing two large holes hidden beneath them. Then, a pair of lewd and evil eyes peeked out from the holes... Uh, sorry, I wrote the wrong scene! Now, let me rewrite it: A pair of majestic and cold-looking huge pupils peeked out from the holes.

Shortly after those pupils appeared, another mound next door gradually shifted, pressing tightly against the side of the mound where the giant pupils were located.

"Kelsu, is there anything wrong with your plan?"

"Our plan is certainly sound, provided, of course, that the information we received is correct!"

"I think that message was just some guy on the other side messing with us. Otherwise, how could we have waited so long and still not seen a single person?"

"Delsd, can't you be a little more patient? Even if the enemy has that powerful weapon, they don't necessarily have to use it every time. If they hadn't used it this time, there wouldn't have been any movement so quickly! And even if they did use that powerful weapon during their operation, it's hard to say whether they could detect the anomaly in time! Furthermore, even if they did detect it in time, how long would it take them to make a decision and how to take new action? These are all unknown. Therefore, we'll have to wait this time!"

"Ah?"

Hearing Delsd's surprised and suspicious voice, Kelsu suppressed the urge to beat him up. Then he lowered his voice and hissed softly, "Delsd, you bastard, are you trying to expose us? Why are you shouting so loudly!"

"I..."

"What? You're forbidden to speak for three days!"

Delsd wanted to argue with Kelsu, but when he felt countless fists reaching out from behind, he obediently shut his mouth, returned to his post, and transformed into a qualified mound.
