Does the Butterfly Effect Really Exist? (8)
"Rustle"
Prince Sordil, who was digging, immediately stopped when he heard footsteps coming from the tunnel and slipped into the wall to hide. Not long after, a tall, thin man with a broom on his head walked over with a relaxed expression. It was clear that he was in a good mood, otherwise he wouldn't have been so smug as to walk with his eyes closed.
"Plop"
Since this guy's eyes were closed after May Day, he naturally stepped into the roadblock formation that the young master had prepared for him. After losing his balance, he curled up into a ball, moved forward smoothly for a distance, and then got stuck in the blockade ditch.
"Ouch! Holy crap! I almost fell and killed myself!"
Just as this unlucky fellow cried out in pain, a dark shadow appeared in his eyes (well... it appeared upside down, not normally), and then a gentle, magnetic voice drifted into his ears.
"Radiance"
"Buzz!"
A ball of light emitting a soft glow appeared above the passage, illuminating it as bright as day. At this moment, the tall, thin man lying in the blocked ditch finally saw what the dark figure standing in front of him was.
"Dragon... Dragon? How... How could there be a dragon here?" (The tall, thin man's inner monologue)
"Hehe! Dragons can go wherever they want, so why can't they appear here?" (The following is normal conversation unless otherwise noted)
Upon hearing the other person's words, the tall, thin man was suddenly startled.
"How does this dragon know what I'm thinking? Can it read my mind?" (Still an inner monologue)
"That's right, I can read your thoughts. Not only that, I can also read the sounds coming from different parts of your body, such as your heartbeat."
By this point, the tall, thin man was fairly certain that the reddish-purple dragon before him had the ability to read his mind, but he was unwilling to give up. Instead, he decided to cling to a sliver of hope and find a way to escape.
"Hehe! I've already told you the correct answer, so why won't you believe me? Sigh! Fine, I'll just tell you the right choice in the most direct way!"
Although Old Suo's words were quite intimidating, the tall, thin man paid no heed and continued searching for an opportunity. Soon after, a perfect opportunity presented itself, and the tall, thin man immediately decided to take the risk. But just as he was about to strike, Sordil lashed out with his tail at his left leg, knocking him to the ground.
"Still not convinced? Fine! Let's continue!"
"Call out!"
A purplish-black needle-like object flew from Sordil's fingers and embedded itself in the tall, thin man's right hand, which was preparing to launch an attack.
"Ah!"
After pulling out the purplish-black nail with his left hand, the tall, thin man looked at Sordil with fear, lest the young master strike again and cripple his remaining limbs.
"You believe me? You're not going to run away anymore? Fine! Then let's try communicating in a different way!"
With that, the young master helped the tall, thin man to the edge of the passageway and let him lean against the wall. Then, the young master began his first interrogation... well, it seems the young master had already broken down the other man's psychological defenses; in this state, taking a confession would be a more accurate description, right? Oh well, whatever, it's not that far off anyway.
"Name!"
"You can read my thoughts, can it be... ah!"
"Oops, sorry, my hand was shaking, I missed! But don't worry, I won't miss next time, I'll definitely hit your manhood with perfect accuracy. Hehe!"
Looking at the eerie smile on Sordil's face, the tall, thin man shuddered, as if he were sitting in a freezer instead of in a tunnel.
"Name!"
"My real Rat, codename Ice Blade. My superior is an undercover agent codenamed Ice, and my subordinate is Master Shadow, who is in charge of the entire intelligence system."
Sordil was just about to enjoy the interrogation, but who knew his opponent would be so uncooperative, spilling the beans and revealing everything. (You're practically trying to ruin someone's manhood, how could they not cooperate?) Although his opponent's cooperation made things rather dull, some things still needed to be done, so Sordil forced himself to endure the boredom and asked the questions he needed to ask.
"Where did you just go? And what about the intelligence you had? Did you pass it on?"
"I just went to the secret Secret Room at the end of the passage and used the Communication Magic Crystal to transmit the information from Bing to Lord Ying. Lord Ying should have already delivered the information to the master."
"Master? Who is your master? Where does he live?"
"Usually, it's Master Ying who contacts us. The master never shows his face, and we don't know his identity or where he lives."
"And who is Lord Shadow?"
"We were all hired by Master Ying from the black market, so we don't know his real name. We only know that he has a nickname, Invisible Shadow Blade."
Upon hearing Rat's reply, four or five black lines appeared on Old Suo's forehead.
"Invisible Shadow Blade? An invisible show of power, the most lethal? Holy crap! Could it be that Zed also traveled through time? Oh dear! What a pity I didn't bring my Yasuo, who's so skilled, along, otherwise... Hmph! Huh? Has the topic gone a little off track?"
He pinched his own tail hard, sending the intensely prickly sensation through his receptors to his brain, pulling him back from his delirious state. Once reason regained control, Old Suo continued his unfinished interrogation.
"Do you know where this Master Ying lives?"
"We usually communicate through Communication Magic Crystal, so I don't know Master Ying's address."
Faced with this clueless fellow, Sordil felt an overwhelming urge to unleash his fury. However, this was the only usable clue he had at the moment, so he had to suppress his anger and try to extract any useful information from the man. Just then, the young Old Suo suddenly spotted a passage not far ahead. After his small eyes darted around a couple of times, Old Suo abruptly picked up Rat and started walking forward.
"Give me directions immediately and lead me to the Secret Room you mentioned, or I will destroy you through the Dragon Path!" (Human destruction of an object is called human destruction; when a dragon destroys an object, it is naturally called Dragon Path destruction!)
Although Rat didn't know what Dragon's Destruction was, based on his understanding of the Evil Dragon before him, he could easily tell that it was definitely not a good thing. Thus, Rat gloriously became a guide, correctly pointing out the location of the Secret Room to Old Suo and helping Old Suo Secret Room and find the so-called Communication Magic Crystal.
"Thank you for showing me the way, but you need to get some sleep now!"
After saying that, Old Suo punched the other man on the forehead, sending him into a somewhat painful dream.
"Thank goodness! There's still a trace of magical energy remaining, otherwise there really wouldn't be any way to save us!"
After a sigh of relief, Sordil immediately switched from Poison Dragon Mode to Time-Space Dragon Mode. Then, Old Suo closed his eyes and began to sense the flow of magic in the air.
"Huh? Oh no! The spatial node on the other side is quite far away from here, and the magic fluctuations have become negligible. We're about to lose all sense of it."
Taking a deep breath and adjusting his mental state to its best, Sordil began to focus all his attention on sensing the Space Magic fluctuations on the other side.
"Clatter"
A bead of sweat the size of a bean dripped from Old Suo's chin, hitting the ground with a crisp sound. Just then, Old Suo suddenly opened his eyes, slashed forward sharply, and the next second, a deep crack appeared in front of Old Suo.
"Phew! Finally found it!"
He muttered something under Old Suo breath, then stepped straight into the crevice. As for that unfortunate fellow, he had long since forgotten about Old Suo, and his fate was now left to the goddess of destiny.
