Peaceful Liberation of the Northern Alliance (2)
"This... where is this..."
Looking down at the familiar scenery, Herder rubbed his eyes in disbelief, then looked down again.
"Gulp"
Just as he was marveling at the speed of his travel, a magnetic voice appeared behind him.
"You're not mistaken, you're not dreaming, we really are in West City now!" (Old Suo)
Upon hearing the Prince's and emperor's explanation, Herder turned her head and said haltingly, "But... but we just..."
"Heh! Silly boy, didn't Carl tell you that His Your Highness the Prince can use a magical technique that can instantly transport people hundreds of miles away? (Diphiya)"
After the Her Highness the Princess's reminder, Herder suddenly remembered a description he had seen in his ancestor's notes.
"So the method our ancestors were talking about wasn't flying, but... gulp!"
Thinking of the Your Highness the Prince's terrifying abilities, Herder suddenly felt the same reverence his ancestor had felt. He also understood why his ancestor had been so certain the Your Highness the Prince would never die. After all, it was hard to imagine anyone being able to harm a god-like figure like the Prince.
"Alright, let's talk about it after we see your grandfather!" (Old Suo)
Upon hearing Old Suo's words, Herder finally understood the Prince's purpose in bringing him back to West City, so he quickly nodded and began to act as a human navigator.
West City, North Slum
"Sigh! I wonder if Herder passed the test?"
After sighing, the old man turned around and walked into the room, leaning on his cane.
Just then, a cool breeze suddenly swept in from the entrance of the slum, and then the whole slum became noisy.
"Hey! Look, what's that?!"
"It looks like a ship!"
"Don't be ridiculous, how could a ship fly in the sky?"
"Oh, if you don't believe me, just see for yourselves!"
"Fine, I'll look. I don't believe it..."
"Holy crap! It really is a ship!"
The noise outside the courtyard stirred up the old man's already turbulent mind even more, so he stopped and turned to walk towards the gate, ready to teach these ignorant young people a lesson.
"Squeak"
The moment the courtyard gate opened, a familiar voice, seemingly present yet absent, drifted into the old man's ears.
"Grandfather!"
"Hehe!"
After chuckling bitterly a few times, the old man shook his head and said, "Heh! I'm old! I'm old! Not only are my legs useless, but even my ears aren't working well anymore!"
"Hey! Look, isn't that Herder from Old Man Solva's family standing on the bow?"
"Yes, it's Herder!"
"Um?"
Hearing a loud, exclamation from not far away, the old man hurriedly looked up and gazed at the sky. The next second, a blurry figure that seemed seven or eight parts familiar entered the old man's eyes, and then, the old man staggered towards the bluish-white ball of light.
"Herder!"
"Herder, is that you?"
Watching the old man running, Herder's eyes instantly blurred. He shouted "Grandpa!" down below, then turned his head behind him.
"Teleportation"
As the magnetic voice rang out, the three of them instantly disappeared from the wind boat and reappeared in front of the old man.
"Grandfather!"
"Herder!"
The overjoyed grandfather and grandson helped each other wipe away tears and hugged tightly.
Upon seeing this, Sordil turned his head away with an unnatural expression and dismantled the eye-catching behemoth in the air.
Once the grandfather and grandson had regained some composure, Old Suo gently advised, "Herder, let's help your grandfather home first!"
Upon hearing this prompt, Herder remembered the identity of the person behind him and the purpose of their visit. He choked back tears and said, "Grandpa, I have something to tell you. Let's go home first!"
"Well!"
After saying "okay" several times, the old man walked home with his grandson's help.
After returning home, the elderly man took his grandson away from the stranger under the pretext of preparing tea.
"Herder, weren't you supposed to be going to Philiers to take the Royal Magic Academy's entrance exam? Why are you back all of a sudden? And who are that man and woman with you?"
"Grandpa, I have already taken the test and even received an audience with His Majesty the King."
"What? You saw the king? That... that... cough cough! (Solva)"
Looking at her overjoyed grandfather, Herder gently patted the old man's back and said, "Grandpa, please don't get excited, please don't get excited!"
After calming himself down, the old man hurriedly asked, "I'm fine, tell me quickly, is it really true?"
"Yes! His Majesty the King is the one we have been searching for for four hundred years, and after hearing about our situation, he immediately brought me back."
"You mean... cough cough... you mean that the young man in the hall is the Prince?"
"That's right, the young man is the Prince, and the girl beside him is Princess Diphiya, whom our ancestors mentioned." (Herder)
Upon hearing Herder's words, the old man immediately broke free from his support and ran shakily toward the lobby.
"Plop"
Upon entering the main hall, the old man immediately knelt down and excitedly exclaimed, "This old Solva Cross, greets the Prince!"
"Swish"
As Old Suo waved his right palm, a Clear Wind emerged, lifting the old man up.
"Sorry it took you so long to find me! (Old Suo)"
Upon hearing the apology, the old man's eyes reddened as he replied, "Thank you... cough cough... Prince!"
"Cure"
As Old Suo's voice rang out, Herder, who had just arrived, saw a ball of green light surge into his grandfather's body. Immediately afterwards, his grandfather's hunched body straightened up, and his disordered breathing gradually calmed down.
Looking at the clear figure in front of him, the old man said excitedly, "I... I can see clearly now, and I feel much better!"
"Grandpa, can you see now?"
"I can see! I can see!"
Looking at the two who were jumping around excitedly, Old Suo said without any tact, "Solva, Herder, if you want to celebrate, you can wait until we get back!"
Upon hearing Old Suo's words, the two instantly remembered the man's current identity, so they immediately stopped celebrating and respectfully said, "Yes!"
Philiers, Council Hall
"Buzz!"
Because Old Suo had used up a Master-Servant Contract that shared life on the way back, two teenagers, a girl, and a middle-aged man with black hair appeared in the hall after the flash of Silver-White Light.
"Herder, take your grandfather down to rest first. The Prime Minister and I have something to discuss!"
Hearing Old Suo's words, Herder nodded, and then the two walked out of the hall.
Just as they stepped out the door, the Prime Minister, who was walking briskly, appeared at the entrance of the hall. After marveling at His Majesty the King's foresight, Herder said, "Prime Minister, His Majesty is waiting for you in the hall. Please come in!"
He nodded in acknowledgment, and then the Prime Minister rushed into the main hall.
Upon seeing that familiar figure, the Prime Minister excitedly exclaimed, "My Emperor, you're finally back! I was so worried about you!"
"Heh! Red, it seems like we've only been gone a few minutes, why are you acting like this? (Diphiya)"
Hearing Divine Constable Di, the Prime Minister smiled wryly and said, "Oh dear, my Her Highness the Princess, let alone a few minutes, I can't even wait a few seconds!"
"Wow! I never would have guessed! The Prime Minister is so fond of my older brother!"
"Alright! Diphiya, stop fooling around. The Prime Minister is in such a hurry to see me, something important must have happened!"
Upon hearing Old Suo's words, the Prime Minister nodded and then handed over a document.
"Your Majesty, please take a look at this!"
After quickly glancing through the document, Old Suo frowned and pondered for a moment before asking, "Prime Minister, what do you think?"
"Although what's stated in this document is reasonable and highly probable, the possibility that it's a trap cannot be ruled out. (Prime Minister)"
Upon hearing the Prime Minister's statement, King Diphiya, who had just finished reviewing the documents, said, "Even if it really is a trap, we're going. I refuse to believe that they can stop our Heavenly King Guard!"
"Your Her Highness the Princess, it's better to be safe than sorry!" (The Prime Minister)
"No! I agree with Diphiya. Even if it's a trap, we're going!" (Old Suo)
"His Majesty..."
He raised his hand to stop the Prime Minister from speaking, then Old Suo stared at the Prime Minister for a long time. Immediately afterwards, the three of them burst into laughter as if by unspoken agreement.
"Ha ha"

Auriel City, Prime Minister's Residence, Underground Secret Room
"Prime Minister Talleyrand, have you received a reply yet? (Lutis)"
"Heh! Lutis, you're too impatient! They should have just received our letter; we probably won't get a reply for a few days. (Krisha)"
"His Majesty Krisha is right, His Majesty Lutis, you are too impatient!" (Talleyrand)
"Alas! If you had listened to me and used the Communication Magic Crystal to send messages, we wouldn't have received a reply, we might even be reaping the rewards of victory by now!" (Lutis)
Upon hearing Lutis's words, bursts of laughter suddenly filled the previously somber atmosphere of the secret Secret Room.
"Ha ha"
"Ha ha"
"Hehe"
Looking at the two large shrimp in front of him, Lutis said in embarrassment and anger, "What? Is what I said so funny?"
To maintain the alliance, Talleyrand and his companion forced back their laughter. Then, the Prime Minister asked seriously, "Your Majesty Lutis, you should remember the basic conditions for using the Communication Magic Crystal for communication, right?"
"Of course I remember that. To make a call using the Communication Magic Crystal, both parties must..."
At this point, Lutis suddenly stopped, then blushed and turned her head to the side.
Looking at Lutis's awkward movements, the laughter that had just stopped resounded in the Secret Room.
