Rescuing a Fallen Girl (Part 2)
"Bang!"
Just as he turned the corner, a dark shadow came towards him, and then the lurking creature felt its head being buried in two soft, squishy things, followed by the sound of two heavy objects hitting the ground.
Ouch!
Upon hearing the charming voice from the other end, Old Suo spent half a second expressing his pain and lamenting his bad luck, and another half a second pondering a solution and preparing his words.
A second later, he stood up in a flash, ran quickly to the victim's side, and helped him up.
"Sister, I'm sorry, I was in a hurry, that's why I bumped into you."
Seeing that the person was remorseful and had a charming voice, the victim felt relieved. (The above is all made up; actually, she saw a handsome face under the veil, which is why...)
"Little brother, why does your voice sound so unfamiliar?"
"Oh! I was just transferred here, so you haven't heard my voice before, sister."
"I see! So what were you rushing off to just now?"
"Lord Brian wants me to inform the guards at 3373 to keep an eye on the target and prevent her from escaping outside."
"Number 3373? Could it be that Ulu has arrived?"
Hearing what the other person said, Old Suo nodded and then said, "That's right, it's Ulu's here!"
"Oh!"
Seeing the other party nod, Old Suo breathed a sigh of relief, but the next second, his heart started racing again!
"Little brother, you're going in the wrong direction!"
"Then could you please give me directions, sister?"
Hearing Old Suo's words, the masked woman nodded, then pointed to the opposite side and said, "Little brother, go to the end of the corridor behind you, then turn right. The third room on your left is the room of Experiment 3373."
"Thank you so much, sister!"
"You're welcome!"
After saying this, the two walked off in their respective directions.
"Call out"
"Bang!"
After knocking the other man unconscious with Hand Knife, Old Suo muttered coldly, "Trying to fool me? Dream on!"
After scanning the area and confirming there were no outsiders, Old Suo waved his right hand, and the troublesome woman was sent to the storage space. (You heard right, a storage space that can't store living people, because for the current His Majesty the Emperor, it's the perfect place to kill and silence someone.)
After destroying the body and covering up the evidence... well, after hiding the body and covering up the evidence, Old Suo continued to walk along the location he sensed.
In cell 3373, which is Ultear's room, just as Ultear was crying her heart out, a silver ring suddenly appeared in front of her bed, and then a veiled man appeared in front of her.
Upon seeing the veiled man, the terrified Ultear immediately stopped crying, huddled at the foot of the bed, and stared at him tremblingly.
The veiled man glanced at Ultear, then cast a silvery glow into the room.
"Bang!"
After the Silver Radiance fell, a loud bang came from the veiled man's body, followed by countless pink smoke. The next second, a silver-haired boy broke through the smoke and walked in front of her.
"Don't be afraid, I'm not from the Magic Development Bureau, and I won't hurt you."
Upon learning that the other party was not one of those terrifying individuals, Ultear's tension instantly subsided considerably.
"Then who are you? Why did you barge into my room?"
"My name is Sordil, I am a mage from a guild, and a friend of your mother. The reason I broke into your room is because I want to tell you that your mother did not abandon you; she was just deceived by bad people, which is why she did not come to see you."
Upon hearing this, Ultear's tear ducts instantly broke down, and her dam of reason collapsed as well.
"I don't believe you, you're lying!" (At this moment Ultear crying hysterically.)
Having anticipated this situation, Old Suo took out the Magic Crystal that had previously recorded the images from his pocket and activated it.
"Buzz!"
A blue light screen flashed in mid-air, and then the scenes that had happened were displayed in front of Ultear.
A moment later, the light screen dissipated, and Ultear was left in tears.
"Waaaaah... waaaah..."
Seeing this, His Majesty the Emperor sighed and then stepped forward to wipe away the tears on Ultear's face.
"Alright! The misunderstanding has been cleared up, stop crying!"
Old Suo's words only made things worse; they made Ultear cry even harder. (If one were to describe Ultear as pear blossoms in the rain, then her face would be like a Category 12 downpour.)
"Okay! Okay! Be good, stop crying!"
Sigh! Because of this inappropriate comment about the shortage, he experienced again the same unpleasant feeling that Kana had given him not long ago.
Fortunately, this guy still had his senses, so he didn't retaliate, but continued to comfort Ultear.
Five or six minutes later, having vented her anger Ultear wiped her snot and tears on someone's body, then looked up and said, "Uncle Sordil, since you were able to get in, you can definitely escape. Please take me away from here!"
Hearing the conversation return to normal, Old Suo felt both annoyed and relieved.
After placing Ultear on the bed and giving her a gentle pat on the head, Sordil said, "Ultear, your uncle does have the ability to take you away, but your uncle cannot do that!"
"Why?"
"Because once your uncle takes you away, those bad guys will inevitably suspect your mother, and then her life will be in danger."
Hearing that it might endanger her mother, Ultear instantly abandoned the idea of leaving, but it soon resurfaced in her little head. As for the reason... heh! Just imagine you're Ultear!
Seeing Ultear's conflicted expression, the lecherous man quickly said, "Don't be sad. Although I can't take you away from here, I can take you to see Ulu once a day." (PS: I have a feeling that this Old Suo has the potential to be a lolicon?)
Faced with this consolation prize, which was better than nothing, Ultear's black gemstone suddenly shone.
"Uncle Sordil, are you telling the truth?"
"Of course! But we can only watch Ulu from afar; we can't get close to her."
"Um!"
Looking at the dejected Ultear, Old Suo added another reward.
"Good child, don't be sad! Uncle will always be with you, and will teach you all kinds of magic so that you can become as excellent as your mother."
"Uncle Sordil, can I trade my right to learn magic for something else?"
"Oh? What does lovely Ultear want?"
"Could you use that ball to record some footage of your mother and send it to me?"
"Okay! But you don't need to trade your right to learn magic, because your uncle will record it for you unconditionally."
"Sordil, Uncle Sodir!"
Alas! Since ancient times, there has been nothing but parting. Just as the two of them reached an agreement, a group of troublemakers came to disrupt their plans.
"Um?"
Upon seeing Old Suo's brow furrow, the astute Ultear instantly sensed something was amiss.
"Uncle Sordil, what happened?"
"Ultear, those masked villains are here. Uncle has to leave!"
Although she was reluctant, Ultear nodded resolutely so that she could see her mother again in the future.
"Buzz!"
As the Silver Radiance shone, the transparent barrier in the room and the elusive, strange uncle disappeared from Ultear's room. The next second, the masked villains burst in.
Upon seeing that Ultear was still there, the masked villain in charge turned around and shouted to the group of villains behind him, "Number 3373 is still here. Immediately strengthen the defenses and carefully search every corner of the bureau."
"Yes!"
After saying this, the masked villains left the room and forcibly took Ultear away.
After leaving the Magic Development Bureau, Old Suo returned to the guild to hand in his mission. Then, he was given yet another Request Letter and embarked on his work journey once again.
Although he was forced to activate Gildarts Mode, he still completed his daily tasks on time, especially the newly added tasks of Ultear's Wish and Kana's Companionship.
His busy yet peaceful routine continued for several months until he received an urgent message from the Minister of Intelligence.
"Tingmei, have you confirmed the identities of those people active in the Kaelum Open Sea?"
"Reporting to Master, it has been confirmed that they are remnants of the cult that you previously eradicated."
"How many of them are there, and what is their strength?"
"They number about four or five hundred, are of average strength, but possess a large number of Magic Soldier."
"Heh! These people are as spineless as ever!"
"Master, what should we do next? Should we wipe them out?"
Upon hearing Tingmei's suggestion, Old Suo pondered for a few seconds before saying, "No! Don't make a move yet, just keep an eye on them!"
"Yes!"
Having just finished a conversation with the Minister of Intelligence, the long-dormant student-faculty hotline suddenly became active again.
"Xiao Ou, have any strangers appeared in Rosemary Village?"
Upon hearing the teacher's question, August was instantly stunned by the other's predictive ability. After a long while, he stammered, "No... that's right!"
"Xiao Ou, keep an eye on those people and protect Erza. I'm on my way."
"Yes, teacher!"
After ending the call, Old Suo quickly completed his task, then asked the guild leader and Ultear for leave, and rushed to Rosemary Village.
Thanks to the effective work of his intelligence agents, His Majesty the Emperor, who had the upper hand, was able to complete all the arrangements before the cult could make its move.
"Teacher, are we really going to just stand by and let these guys take our junior sister away?" (August)
"I would like this too, but the time is not right yet, so we have no choice but to do this."
"Teacher, is the enemy really that powerful?" (Herder)
After gazing at his third disciple, Old Suo addressed the Western Continent, saying, "There's no doubt about that. Perhaps... they will be even stronger than I imagine!"
