Riezel's Request

At that moment, Riezel still had no idea that Loki had gathered every First Class Adventurer in the Familia for him.

He merely ran through the streets, looked at the sky that had completely darkened, and couldn't help sighing.

"I'm completely late now."

With Loki's prior instructions, Riezel had originally only planned to explore the 7th Floor and not continue any deeper, lest he waste too much time and return to the Familia too late.

"You brat, you're finally back." Loki said irritably, "Get up here already. Everyone's waiting for you."

Hearing that, Riezel didn't waste any words. After nodding to show he understood, he returned directly to his room, took off his dirty clothes and armor, removed his two weapons, one long and one short, and placed them by the bed. Only then did he tidy himself up a little before hurrying to the God's Chamber.

"You're here, you're here! Get in already!"

Before Riezel could knock, Loki opened the door as though she had known he was coming and dragged him inside.

Riezel walked into the God's Chamber and was instantly bathed in countless gazes.

A glance around made Riezel raise his brows.

Good grief, every First Class Adventurer in the Familia was here?

As Riezel thought that, everyone in the God's Chamber saw him as well.

"Is that him?"

Ais, who had been sitting silently in the corner, froze slightly when she saw Riezel.

Tiona cried out in surprise as well.

"You're the idiot!" Tiona snapped unhappily. "Then go ask Ais! I saw it with my own eyes!"

Everyone immediately focused their gazes on Ais.

"I..."

Ais parted her lips, looking as though she wanted to explain but had no idea how. All she could do was lower her head with a faint blush on her face.

It wasn't from shyness, but embarrassment.

Who told Tiona to phrase it in such an easily misunderstood way?

It wasn't like she had been watching him!

Ais didn't want to speak anymore, nor did she dare look at Riezel's expression right then.

Riezel likewise didn't look at Ais.

Though Tiona's words had caught him off guard, Riezel quickly composed himself and took the initiative to change the subject.

"Sorry, I'm late."

Riezel offered an apology to the senior members of the Familia present.

"Tch."

Bete turned his head away disdainfully, seemingly too lazy to say anything to Riezel. He only glared at Tiona, annoyed by her unpleasant wording just now.

The others all quieted down and looked toward the captain and leader of the Familia.

Finn gave Riezel an open-minded smile.

"You're the newcomer Loki mentioned?" Finn was still very friendly toward Riezel, even sounding somewhat approving. "You only came back at this hour after exploring the Dungeon. It seems you've been working hard."

Since the newcomer was working so hard, Finn naturally wouldn't blame him for being delayed by such a small amount of time.

"Thank you for your understanding."

Riezel did not underestimate Finn because of his deceptively youthful appearance.

That was why, whether they were Elven royalty or the distinctive and fiercely independent members of the Familia present, all of them sincerely trusted this Pallum who seemed to possess no authority at all.

Even Loki, the Goddess herself, merely stood to one side now, smiling as she watched everything and completely yielding the floor to Finn. That alone showed just how capable and respected he was.

"Well, there have been plenty of girls." Tione added at just the right moment, then said sarcastically, "It's just that Loki praised those girls for their looks and figures."

Everyone present immediately nodded in agreement.

The smile vanished from Loki's formerly beaming face.

They could even use this to make fun of her?

At this rate, they were going to lose her!

"Serves you right."

Bete threw in a jab from the side, nearly making Loki lose it.

"Alright, enough messing around." Gareth slapped the table, stopping the atmosphere from getting increasingly strange. Then he looked at Riezel and said, "I'm very curious just what this kid can do to have Loki praise him so highly."

"I heard you only joined the Familia a few days ago, and that was when you received your Falna as well?" Riveria interjected, addressing Riezel. "Loki said you had something you wanted to ask of us. Go ahead. As long as it isn't too unreasonable, as members of the same Familia, we'll definitely find a way to grant your request."

Like the others, Riveria was fairly friendly toward Riezel.

Only Bete, the Werewolf Youth, still stood there with an expression of disdain. He even seemed a little impatient, as though he did not particularly welcome Riezel.

Riezel only glanced at Bete. There was no annoyance on his face as he calmly and impassively shook his head.

"Thank you for your concern. I'm fine, and I don't mind." Riezel paused in thought before continuing, "More importantly, I do have an unreasonable request. I would like to ask all of you seniors for some help."

"What is it?" Finn asked with a light smile.

He understood the situation quite clearly.

After all, Loki had gathered everyone here and introduced Riezel to them for only one possible reason: the unreasonable request Riezel had mentioned.

In other words, Loki was indirectly telling them to help Riezel.

Thinking that, Finn exchanged glances with the other two Familia leaders and waited for Riezel to speak.

Under those circumstances, Riezel opened his mouth.

"I would like to ask you all to teach me magic."

That single sentence made everyone blink.

"Teach you magic?"

Riveria, Orario's Strongest Mage, became somewhat interested at Riezel's words.

"Yes." Riezel nodded and calmly said before everyone, "I've awakened a magic, but I need to fulfill certain conditions in order to use it."

There was no need to explain what that condition was.

In short, Riezel needed someone he could learn from before he could use his magic.

"What kind of magic is it?"

Tiona couldn't suppress her curiosity and asked.

Finn, Riveria, and Gareth all turned directly toward Loki.

Loki grinned and said something meaningful.

"His magic is a little like Lefiya's Elf Ring, you know?"

With just that one sentence, everyone raised their brows, and the way they looked at Riezel changed somewhat.
