Background / History
Origin
Empress Wa created humanity in the Primordial Taiyi Era while attempting to sculpt a being resembling herself. The first human was weak enough that even a gust of wind could threaten later mud-born humans; humanity’s eventual stature was earned through the struggles of countless generations rather than granted at birth 1639.
After attaining Dao through humanity, Empress Wa imprinted the Human Dao upon the infinite Multiverse. Human beings consequently exist throughout countless worlds, even where other cultivation paths or divine beings do not 1146.
Empress Wa later concealed humanity’s origin to prevent powerful beings from targeting it. Gu Shaoshang identifies the Five-colored Rhomboid Crystal as the hidden origin of the Human Race 1639.
Vast Continent
The earliest recorded Human Race history centers on Human Emperor Xi, who defeated the Cang Race after a war lasting more than 100,000 years. Xi’s victory allowed the Human Race to seize part of the Vast Continent’s authority and establish its enduring destiny 86 730.
The following million-year Archaic Era was the Human Race’s most glorious period. Eight Human Emperors ruled, great dynasties were established, and the Human Race stood as the most honored people beneath heaven 86 600.
After the eight emperors disappeared, the Middle Ancient Era saw peaceful exchange with other races and the emergence of more than a thousand Great Divine Ability Users. Later wars devastated all sides, beginning the Human Race’s decline and enabling the Demon Race to rise under its Emperor 86.
The Human Race survived the Demon Emperor’s ascent through the efforts of the High Priest, the Three Human Sovereigns, and a clan-protecting treasure left by Xi. Their defenses concentrated spiritual energy through a network of giant cities, preventing powerful demons from arising freely within Human Race territory 1052.
Archaic Human Race
In the After Ascension world, the Archaic Human Race initially lacked a Sovereign and struggled against the Demon and Heaven Realms. Unequal treaties restricted its growth, compelled it to serve Demon Realm powerhouses, and required the surrender of souls 801 803.
Wushang challenged the Sovereigns, altered those treaties, and left behind direct martial arts guarded by the Human Race’s Supremes. Following the defeat of invading demons and the expansion of the population, the Archaic Human Race developed an army exceeding 100 million God-level experts 803 819.
Ancestral Star
On Ancestral Star, humans were long enslaved and treated as livestock or food by stronger races. Fu Shang forced divine clans to return human captives, freeing tens or hundreds of millions and restoring a sense of dignity among the human clans 1211 1214.
Fu Shang deliberately left the remaining old Spirits for Zhong Yue and the Human Race to confront. He believed that only war and the blood of enemies could erase the servility left by tens of thousands of years of slavery 1226.
Within ten years, the spread of the Divine Court Suppressing the World Visualization Scroll greatly increased the number of Qi Practitioners. The Human Race became one of Ancestral Star’s overlords, then fought a major war against the Spirit, Demon, Dragon, and other races 1227.
Galaxy Universe
In the Galaxy Universe, the Human Race was a peak race but initially weak in the wider Cosmic Sea. Earth’s martial artists, the Space-time Gate, and supreme treasures supplied by Zuo Shanke accelerated its rise 1148 1162.
The Galaxy Empire fought the Mechanical, Demon, Insect, Crystal, and Zi Yue Sacred Land forces. After the war, humanity reclaimed its territory, expanded its domain several dozen times, and the Galaxy Empire became its leading power across more than a thousand Peak Universe Kingdoms 1160 1164.
Organization and Society
- Human Emperor — The central sovereign of the Vast Human Race. The office carries Human Dao destiny and can draw upon the power of innumerable cities and beings within Divine Wasteland 1062 1502.
- High Priest — The Human Race’s oldest and deepest foundation during its decline; the High Priest wielded most of the authority over the clan-protecting supreme treasure 1078.
- Three Human Sovereigns — The rulers associated with Divine Wasteland, Imperial Wasteland, and Savage Wasteland. Their authority was later consolidated into the Divine Wasteland Imperial Dynasty 1274.
- Kings, Dukes, and Marquises — Holders of portions of Human Race destiny. Their status permits cultivation beyond the Vast Continent’s usual restrictions and access to other realms 1052 1273.
- Ancestor worship — The Vast Human Race worships neither Heaven, Earth, spirits, nor Buddhas; it reveres its ancestors, the Three Human Sovereigns, and the High Priest 1259.
Abilities & Collective Strengths
Human Dao and Destiny Authority
The Human Race’s greatest advantage on the Vast Continent is the destiny authority seized by Xi from the Heavenly Dao.

Adaptability and Cultivation Potential
Humans are not naturally powerful compared with many races. On the Vast Continent, even strong Human Race newborns are generally only at Spirit Condensation, while Heavenly Humans and other races are born at far higher levels 372 494 1273.
- Human strength is built through population, cultivation, martial inheritance, and collective organization rather than innate bloodline superiority 810 819.
- In the Myriad Heavens, ordinary humans can surpass a Demon Race member’s thousand years of cultivation after several decades of practice, reflecting the Human Dao’s influence 1593.
- Human forms became a widespread aesthetic standard only after the Human Race rose as the rulers of all spirits 1586.
Martial Inheritance
The Human Race preserves and transmits powerful martial paths through its sacred institutions.
- The Archaic Human Race Sacred Hall maintains the direct martial arts of Wushang, which may only be taught by a Supreme after inspection 819.

Notable Quotes
“The Human Race stands across the myriad worlds, absorbing the spiritual essence of heaven and earth, and is never humble!” 1194
“Those who do not worship the Three Sovereigns, how can they speak of being human?” 1076
Trivia
- In the Galaxy Universe, “Human Race” is used broadly for any humanoid lifeform, including beings with scales, horns, or tails. Gu Shaoshang does not personally accept that definition outside of Earth’s humans 1151.
- The Human Race’s earliest members were not born extraordinary; later claims of inherent supremacy are contrasted with the first humans’ struggle merely to survive 1639.
