Background / History

Fu Shang is one of the innumerable lives divided from a single drop of Gu Shaoshang’s blood. Though he lacks his Main Body’s cultivation and essence, he inherits access to the vast body of divine abilities and secret arts Gu Shaoshang accumulated. After awakening in the Great Wilderness, he names himself “Fu Shang,” using the Fuxi-style phrase meaning “without injury.” 1193 1194

Xin Huo teaches Fu Shang the visualization method of this world. Fu Shang develops it into the Divine Court Suppressing the World Chart, a visualization of the Supreme Heavenly Court based on Gu Shaoshang’s own foundation. Through it, he rapidly progresses from soul cultivation to the Spirit Infusion Realm and begins visualizing the Heavenly Horned Ant and Nine-Leaf Sword Grass as spirits. 1193 1195 1196

Witnessing humans enslaved, penned, and consumed by other races hardens Fu Shang’s resolve. He protects the Red Stone Tribe, reconstructs its ruined settlement with his soul force, and later joins the Sword Sect as an Elder to support the Human Race and continue his cultivation. 1200 1201 1202

Appearance

Fu Shang appears as a young man, initially wearing the white robes of a Sword Sect disciple. He is later described in white clothing with long hair, carrying himself with an unhurried and composed bearing even in confrontations with powerful enemies. 1196 1205 1226

  • White Sword Sect disciple robes during his early time in the Great Wilderness. 1196
  • Long hair that moves freely when he rises to speak. 1226
  • Often travels mounted on Shi Buyi after subduing him. 1207 1211

Personality

Fu Shang is notably calm and difficult to unsettle. He treats early breakthroughs as unremarkable, remains composed when trapped in the Ziwei Star Domain, and responds to looming danger by choosing to cultivate further rather than flee. 1194 1231

His compassion is rooted in a firm sense of allegiance rather than sentimentality. He cannot tolerate the enslavement and slaughter of humans, but he also recognizes that merely protecting humanity would not restore its dignity. He deliberately leaves hostile old Spirits alive so that the Human Race can reclaim its backbone through struggle. 1200 1226

In battle, Fu Shang is decisive and merciless toward oppressors, yet he respects genuine loyalty. After Emperor Ming’s loyal Heavenly River Navy commits suicide, Fu Shang orders that they be buried with honors. 1206 1237

Abilities & Skills

Divine Court Suppressing the World Chart

Fu Shang’s central visualization method depicts a Supreme Divine Court, its Heavenly Provinces, and the Dao Fruits of powerful beings from the Perfect World.

  • Strengthens both his soul and physical body through visualization. 1195
  • Is designed around 3,600 Upper Heavenly Provinces and 7,200 Lower Earth Provinces. 1195
  • Grows faster after gaining the faith of the Human Race; its initial foundation is supported by the combined strength of billions of humans. 1212 1231
  • Initially requires prolonged cultivation and comprehension to complete; Fu Shang does not immediately possess every being or Dao Fruit depicted within it. 1195

Manifested Spirits

Fu Shang uses the Divine Court Suppressing the World Chart to manifest exceptionally powerful spirits.

  • Heavenly Horned Ant — grants overwhelming physical strength; Fu Shang’s body becomes stronger than a pure-blooded Fuxi of the same realm. 1195 1206
  • Nine-Leaf Sword Grass — manifests as a nine-foot sword and embodies peerless combat ability. 1195 1206
  • Ten Fiends — manifestations capable of jointly suppressing Tu Yu, an Innate God and Great General of Heaven. 1228
  • These manifestations do not possess the full strength of their Immortal King originals, but remain sufficient to overpower enemies above Fu Shang’s nominal realm. 1228

Sword Arts

Fu Shang’s sword attacks combine immense force with the sharpness of the Nine-Leaf Sword Grass.

  • Defeats Shi Buyi and devastates his demon army with a single strike. 1206
  • Fires a sword strike from the Sword Sect across tens of thousands of miles, defeating Xiaomang Old Ancestor in one move. 1218
  • Uses sword force to pressure divine clans into releasing their human captives. 1211

Primordial Spirit and Soul Force

Fu Shang’s soul cultivation is the foundation of his rapid growth.

  • Can leave and return to his body at will after reaching Soul Egress. 1194
  • Restores the Red Stone Tribe’s ruins with a thought and his soul force. 1201
  • Possesses a Primordial Spirit powerful enough to suppress Tu Yu despite Tu Yu’s higher cultivation realm. 1218 1228
  • Opens the Six Paths of Reincarnation’s six secret realms, enhancing both body and Primordial Spirit. 1231

Six Paths of Reincarnation and Wushi Bell

Fu Shang develops the Six Paths of Reincarnation beyond the conventional limits of the world.

  • Opens the Bloodline Wheel while preserving a strand of Fuxi divine blood out of recognition for his connection to Xin Huo and his inheritance. 1231
  • Uses the Six Paths together with the Wushi Bell to suppress the Black Emperor’s darkness. 1237
  • Later opens the Seven Paths of Reincarnation and advances beyond it. 1250

Space-Time Comprehension

Fu Shang possesses profound control over space-time.

  • Travels through the River of Time and Space to observe the Earthly Chronicle and meet historical figures. 1248
  • Travels to Fumin’s era to study the creation of the Six Paths of Reincarnation. 1249
  • His understanding of space-time surpasses the Profound Scripture of Space-Time Clarity. 1248
