Clatter, clatter~
Clatter, clatter~
A luxurious, massive carriage traveled through the desolate hills, drawn by three sturdy white horses. Their synchronized strides made it obvious that they had undergone strict training.
Paladins on horseback rode before and behind the luxurious carriage, accompanied by Magic Casters in clerical robes.
The entire convoy numbered over a hundred people, all of them splendidly armed.
"Lightness."
"Weight Weakening."
"Low-Tier: Stamina Recovery."
As the chants rang out, beams of magical light descended from all around, covering the luxurious carriage and the three powerful warhorses pulling it. The carriage, whose magical effects had begun to fade, regained its steady speed. Such a conspicuous group, escorted by Paladins and led by chanting Magic Casters, was clearly no ordinary merchant caravan!
Flutter~
The wind stirred the flag atop the carriage, making it rustle. An azure national emblem was imprinted upon it, indicating that this group came from the Holy Lord Nation.
The whip cracked through the air, leaving an afterimage behind.
Crack!
Though there was only one streak of the whip, it landed precisely upon the backs of all three horses at once.
The driver was a man in a black top hat and black cloak. His entire face was concealed behind a mask, revealing only a pair of fierce-looking eyes.
He was none other than Pabel, "Black" of the Holy Kingdom's Nine Colors.
Inside the fragrant carriage.
"Is this the hills?"
Holy Queen Calca wore a pure white formal gown decorated with blue patterns, somewhat resembling a priest's robe. She peered curiously through the curtain toward the hills outside. "They don't seem as desolate as you described, Remedios."
"They've changed a little, Your Majesty."
Remedios was fully armed in Paladin gear, with a Holy Sword hanging at her waist. She looked outside as well, raising an eyebrow.
