Ch. 1Re-Estize Kingdom

Tang Zheng realized he had transmigrated into the New World of Overlord, four years before Nazarick arrived, and struggled with the knowledge that the Re-Estize Kingdom was doomed. After selling his pendant and buying basic supplies, he wondered whether he could hide his identity from Nazarick.

  • Tang Zheng recognized the Royal Capital as part of the New World of Overlord and identified the date by the Royal Tournament featuring Gazef and Brain.
  • Tang Zheng sold his enamelled gold pendant for three gold coins, then bought cheap clothes, a shortsword, and rye bread.
  • Tang Zheng considered the kingdom's coming destruction and feared he would be unable to conceal that he was a transmigrator from Nazarick.

Ch. 2Innate Talent: Player

Tang Zheng examined his Player talent and its attribute panel after arriving in the New World, but realized that leveling up alone would not let him match the Great Tomb of Nazarick. He ate the black bread he had stored in his Item Box, accepting that this world was real and that he could die in it.

  • Tang Zheng worried that Bone Lord would torture or kill him if his identity as a transmigrator were exposed, then sat by a shop wall to consider his situation.
  • Tang Zheng inspected his Attribute Panel and confirmed that his Innate Talent was Player, with an Item Box but no class or skills.
  • Tang Zheng reasoned that Player might let him level beyond ordinary human limits, but that even reaching Level 100 would not overcome Bone Lord and the Great Tomb’s equipment and numbers.
  • Tang Zheng checked his attributes, noted his physical strength and possible magic-caster talent, and reflected on how classes and racial levels shaped character stats.
  • Tang Zheng took black bread from his Item Box and ate, recognizing that he could feel hunger and could truly die in the New World.

Ch. 3Job Advancement Clues: A High-Quality Human

Tang Zheng considered how to build his Classes carefully enough to stand a chance against Nazarick, while recognizing the young Nfirea as an exceptionally valuable New World talent. The chapter left Tang Zheng aware that Nfirea’s abilities could even threaten the Great Tomb.

  • Tang Zheng rejected another prompt to advance into Warrior, determined to avoid wasting levels on a poor Class build.
  • He recalled activating the Black Guard Class through a shield but learned that he needed the Basic Class Guardian first.
  • Tang Zheng weighed using New World technologies or obtaining a Special Class to fight Nazarick’s Floor Guardians.
  • Nfirea approached Tang Zheng and asked whether he was in trouble, while an old woman called Nfirea over.
  • Tang Zheng recognized Nfirea’s Genius Classes and All Item talent, which let him use items outside his Class restrictions.

Ch. 4General Class Triggered: "Genius"!

Tang Zheng met Nfirea and his grandmother Lizzie in the Royal Capital, where contact with Nfirea triggered a chance to acquire the General Class Genius. He accepted it, gaining the ability to switch between Basic and General Classes, and left with renewed confidence about his future.

  • Lizzie rebuked Nfirea for helping Tang Zheng and urged him to focus on collecting medicinal herbs during the Royal Tournament.
  • Nfirea gave Tang Zheng a water skin, and their contact triggered a prompt to acquire the General Class Genius.
  • Tang Zheng accepted the class and learned that Genius could replace any Basic or General Class as needed, though it granted no attribute bonuses.
  • After Nfirea left, Tang Zheng realized the class eased his uncertainty about choosing a Basic Class and considered what had triggered the acquisition prompt.

Ch. 5Skill Points? The Woman the Blood Emperor Hated Most

After gaining the Genius class and three skill points, Tang Zheng headed to the Royal Capital’s central square to watch Gazef and Brain’s duel and gather information. His plan to make money by betting on the match failed, and he reflected on Princess Renner’s deceptive reputation.

  • Tang Zheng checked his status and realized that his Player talent granted skill points but no skill list, so he would need another way to acquire skills.
  • Tang Zheng joined the crowd heading toward the Royal Capital’s center to watch the duel between Gazef and Brain.
  • Tang Zheng asked an adventurer where he could find a betting pool, but the youth said Princess Renner had persuaded the king to ban betting on the tournament match.
  • Tang Zheng concluded that secret betting might continue among nobles but would be out of reach for ordinary people, and he dismissed the common view of Renner as gentle and kind.

Ch. 6The Legendary Battle, the True Use of Skill Points

Tang Zheng watched Gazef and Brain’s duel at the Royal Tournament and learned that his Genius class could bypass the requirements for a Warrior skill. The battle continued as he discovered how to spend Skill Points.

  • Tang Zheng attended the Royal Tournament and considered how Gazef’s victory had turned the contest into a duel between two commoners.
  • Gazef and Brain entered the arena, exchanged a few words, and began their match before a silent crowd.
  • Tang Zheng watched them clash at incredible speed and recognized the pale blue glow around Brain as a Martial Art.
  • Tang Zheng’s status panel identified Brain’s Flow Acceleration and offered to teach it for one Skill Point after his Genius class met the requirements.

Ch. 7A Class Acquisition Method Opposite to the Game

Tang Zheng discovered that his Genius Class let him learn Skills after watching others use them, and considered whether learning a Skill could grant its corresponding Class. Gazef defeated Brain in the Royal Tournament, and Tang Zheng decided to learn Brain’s Quick Slash to test his theory.

  • Tang Zheng received prompts to learn several Warrior Skills by spending Skill Points, revealing that Genius converted their requirements.
  • Tang Zheng noticed Brain’s Quick Slash prompt and reasoned that learning a Class’s Skills might let him acquire that Class in the New World.
  • Gazef stumbled under Brain’s assault, then struck him with Fourfold Slash of Light and won the match.
  • Tang Zheng saw a prompt to learn Fourfold Slash of Light and decided to learn Quick Slash to test whether Skills could grant Classes.

Ch. 8Overall Level 2Lv: Passive—Slash Damage

Tang Zheng gained the Sword Saint class, learned several skills, and examined how the New World's class system affected his stats. After the arena spectators stood to honor the departing nobles, he left before an angry man could confront him.

  • Tang Zheng automatically advanced into the Sword Saint class after learning Quick Slash, raising his Overall Level to 2Lv and gaining 3 Skill Points.
  • Tang Zheng spent 2 Skill Points to learn Instant Reflection and Fourfold Slash of Light, then reviewed his new stats, skills, and Sword Saint passive ability.
  • Tang Zheng realized his increased stats had strengthened his body, then stumbled and grabbed the shoulder of the brown-haired spectator seated in front of him.
  • The brown-haired man glared at Tang Zheng and planned to teach him a lesson, while the crowd stood as the nobles and royal family left the arena.
  • Tang Zheng waited with the crowd as people discussed Gazef and Brain's battle, then slipped away before the brown-haired man could find him.

Ch. 9A Deep World! The Adventurer Team Four Arms

Tang Zheng left the arena after Gazef and Brain’s duel and spotted the Adamantite Rank team Red Drop among the crowds and adventurers. He also recognized the Four Arms team, then prepared to leave and focus on leveling up.

  • Tang Zheng struggled through the crowd leaving the arena and found more spectators gathered outside to hear the duel’s outcome.
  • Azuth Aindra led Red Drop through the crowd, and Tang Zheng considered the captain’s Powered Suit and the dangers hidden in the world.
  • Tang Zheng watched several other adventurer teams pass, then turned away to focus on leveling up and building his classes.
  • Tang Zheng noticed Four Arms and recognized its black-haired armored woman and pink-haired cleric, while reflecting on the team’s future rank and reputation.

Ch. 10Priestess? Planning a Special Class

Tang Zheng discovered that learning Minor Healing had unlocked Priestess/Priest as a Basic Class through his Genius talent. He left the Imperial Arena to consider how the female-exclusive Class might help him qualify for a Special Class before Nazarick arrived in the New World.

  • A boy named Koya fell and injured his arm after being pushed out of the crowd, and Lilynette healed him with Minor Healing.
  • Sukama warned Lilynette against frightening the boy with her lecherous behavior, and his mother arrived to thank the party.
  • Tang Zheng’s Attribute Panel revealed that Minor Healing could be learned by spending a Skill Point, and he left to examine the discovery in private.
  • Tang Zheng saw that Genius had added Priestess/Priest to his convertible Basic Classes and wondered whether he could advance into female-exclusive Classes.
  • Tang Zheng considered possible Special Classes and ruled out Eclipse, Evil Lord, and Martyr because their requirements or limitations made them unsuitable.

Ch. 11Deducing the Special Class [Valkyrie]!

Tang Zheng analyzed Shalltear and Zesshi Zetsumei’s class builds and deduced the likely prerequisites for the Special Class [Valkyrie]. He decided to raise his level, then travel to the Baharuth Empire to obtain the Cursed Knight class.

  • Tang Zheng ruled out [Asura] and reconsidered [Valkyrie] after gaining the Priest class, then compared Shalltear’s class build with Zesshi Zetsumei’s.
  • Tang Zheng used the two women’s shared Priest class and Shalltear’s Cursed Knight class to deduce that [Valkyrie] likely required being female, having Priest, and having Cursed Knight.
  • Tang Zheng concluded that Zesshi Zetsumei possessed an inferior [Lesser Valkyrie] because she had not met the strict prerequisites for the true Special Class.
  • Tang Zheng recalled that someone in the Baharuth Empire possessed Cursed Knight and decided to level up before seeking that class.
  • Tang Zheng headed to the Adventurer's Guild with his new goal.

Ch. 12Adventurer's Guild, invisible rules

Tang Zheng visited the Adventurer's Guild in the Royal Capital to find a team or caravan traveling to E-Rantel, hoping to travel safely while avoiding attention. He learned that Guild information came at a price and was asked to pay five copper coins for his inquiry.

  • Tang Zheng decided to leave the Royal Capital for E-Rantel after the Royal Tournament, concerned that he would attract attention once the city returned to normal.
  • Tang Zheng went to the Adventurer's Guild and observed its adventurers, staff, and the eight ranks used for adventurer teams.
  • Tang Zheng told the brown-haired receptionist that he had no team and wanted to know whether anyone was traveling to E-Rantel.
  • The brown-haired receptionist guessed Tang Zheng had come from a border city to watch the tournament and demanded five copper coins for the consultation.
  • Tang Zheng recalled that the Adventurer's Guild's information network gave it influence and that the Slane Theocracy appeared to have influence behind the Guild.

Ch. 13Avoiding Unnecessary Trouble, Meeting Enfirea

Tang Zheng learned that joining the E-Rantel escort required approval from both the client and the adventurers, then recognized Nfirea as the client whose request a Silver Rank team had accepted. He approached Nfirea as the journey preparations began.

  • Tang Zheng paid for an answer instead of registering as an adventurer and learned he needed both the client's and the escort team's approval to travel with them.
  • Tang Zheng weighed traveling first to Re-Lebl to save money against the time it would cost, while deciding he needed an adventurer team to help him avoid trouble.
  • Tang Zheng recognized Nfirea at the reception counter and realized he had posted the request to travel to E-Rantel.
  • Nfirea spoke with the four-person Silver Rank adventurer team that had accepted his request, and Tang Zheng approached him with a greeting.

Ch. 14The Astonished Crowd, the "Rock" Adventurer Team

Tang Zheng asked to travel with Nfirea and the Rock adventurer team to E-Rantel, then demonstrated healing magic and swordsmanship to show he could support them. Captain Dossari and his team agreed, leaving Nfirea’s approval as the remaining question.

  • Tang Zheng thanked Nfirea for lending him a waterskin and asked to accompany the group to E-Rantel.
  • When the Rock team hesitated, Tang Zheng cast Minor Healing, revealing that he was a Divine System Magic Caster.
  • Tang Zheng demonstrated his swordsmanship, impressing Nfirea and the four adventurers.
  • Captain Dossari introduced himself and his teammates Bash, Ler, and Lander, and explained that the Rock team specialized in defensive battles.
  • Dossari said the team had no objections to Tang Zheng joining, while leaving the decision to their client, Nfirea.

Ch. 15Traveling Together, Leaving the Royal Capital

Tang Zheng joined Nfirea and Lizzie’s wagon party after demonstrating his Healing Magic, then traveled toward E-Rantel with the Rock team. Along the way, he learned about the Kingdom and his magic’s effects while discovering that his MP recovered slowly.

  • Nfirea invited Tang Zheng to travel with him and Lizzie after she agreed to take him along, provided he demonstrated his Healing Magic.
  • Tang Zheng used Minor Healing on Lizzie’s horse, healing its wounds and nearly exhausting his MP, and Lizzie set the wagon toward E-Rantel.
  • Tang Zheng and the Rock team followed the wagon out of the Royal Capital on May 17th, four years before the Common Era.
  • During the journey, Tang Zheng learned basic information about the Kingdom and helped the Rock team unload medicinal herbs while using Healing Magic on the horse.
  • Tang Zheng discovered that Healing Magic restored stamina as well as healing injuries, and that his MP recovered at roughly one point per hour.

Ch. 16Grandma Lizzie's Reminder, Gaining Experience

While traveling with Grandma Lizzie and the Rock team, Tang Zheng watched Nfirea identify herbs and hoped to gain the Potion Maker class. The scouts returned with a wounded boar, and Tang Zheng prepared to kill it to gain experience.

  • Nfirea identified Bitterroot and Plumroot for Tang Zheng, then Grandma Lizzie rebuked him for tasting herbs and warned Tang Zheng not to waste time studying herbal knowledge.
  • Grandma Lizzie reassured Tang Zheng that she would not be angry about his questions and advised him to focus on his talent for Divine System magic.
  • Ler and Bash returned from scouting with a wounded wild boar, and Ler showed Tang Zheng where to strike for a quick kill.
  • Tang Zheng drew his short sword and stabbed the boar in the neck where Ler had pointed.

Ch. 17Drinking Hot Water Was a Hometown Tradition, Faith in the Six Great Gods

Tang Zheng hunted a wild boar with Ler and reflected on humanity’s history of Players and the coming Nazarick Great Underground Tomb. He considered provoking the True Dragon Lords into fighting the Great Tomb so he could benefit from the conflict.

  • Tang Zheng killed a wild boar and gained 15 experience, bringing him within five points of leveling up.
  • Ler praised Tang Zheng’s improved technique and warned him that monsters were different from ordinary wild beasts.
  • Tang Zheng boiled water in Nfirea’s porcelain jar and explained that drinking hot water was a hometown tradition.
  • Tang Zheng recalled how the Six Great Gods had saved humanity, followed by the Eight Greed Kings and later Players.
  • Tang Zheng reasoned that the True Dragon Lords might expect another Player arrival and considered making them fight Nazarick in advance.

Ch. 18Encounter Battle, Two Trolls

Tang Zheng and the Rock team were ambushed by ten Goblins and two Trolls as they traveled toward the Azerlisia Mountains. The team killed all ten Goblins, but the Trolls charged out of the forest.

  • Tang Zheng learned from Captain Dossari that the Azerlisia Mountains separated the Re-Estize Kingdom from the Baharuth Empire.
  • Bash warned the group that a powerful creature was approaching, and Lizzie stopped the carriage.
  • Ten Goblins rushed out of the grass, followed by two Trolls.
  • Captain Dossari and the Rock team attacked and killed all ten Goblins.
  • The two Trolls roared and charged out of the forest.

Ch. 19Danger, Third-Tier Magic—Lightning Strike

Captain Dossari’s Rock team struggled against two Trolls until Lizzie used Lightning Strike to rescue them. The second Troll fell, while the first Troll’s fate remained unresolved.

  • Captain Dossari and Bash fought one Troll while Ler and Lander tried to hold off the other.
  • Bash blinded one Troll with Twin Shot, and Captain Dossari stabbed it through the heart.
  • The supposedly dead Troll grabbed Captain Dossari’s ankle and broke it, while Ler was knocked away and Lander came under pressure.
  • Lizzie cast Lightning Strike, severing the Troll’s grip on Captain Dossari and burning a huge hole through the other Troll’s chest.

Ch. 20"Gained 300 Experience," the Ashamed "Rock" Team

Tang Zheng defeated the trolls with Third-Tier Lightning Strike, healed the injured Rock Team, and gained a level after killing the surviving troll. Grandmother Lizzie then recognized the threat from the Great Forest of Tob and said it was time to clear out its monsters.

  • Tang Zheng used Lightning Strike to defeat the two trolls, though the Attribute Panel said he did not meet the spell's level requirements.
  • Tang Zheng freed Captain Dossari's crushed ankle from a troll's hand and cast Minor Healing twice to repair it.
  • Tang Zheng promised to heal Lander and Ler once his mana recovered, then killed the surviving troll and gained 300 experience, reaching Level 5.
  • Nfirea checked on the Rock Team, while Grandmother Lizzie told them to rest and recover.
  • Grandmother Lizzie looked toward the Great Forest of Tob and said it was time to clear out the monsters.
