Madara gathered the four elemental academies and the Clear Sky Sect into his growing opposition to Spirit Hall while intervening in the palace coup and reuniting with Tang San. As Spirit Hall prepared to weaken the empires by unleashing criminals from the City of Slaughter, Madara’s forces braced for the coming conflict.

• Madara defeated Shui Bing'er and Huo Wu in the tournament, then confronted Tang Xiao and the Clear Sky Sect before allying with them against Spirit Hall.
• Tang San reunited with his friends and Madara, learned of Xiao Wu’s sacrifice, and held an engagement ceremony with her before departing for Sea God Island with the Shrek Seven Devils.
• Madara helped Tang San and Dugu Bo repel Spirit Hall’s coup in Heaven Dou Palace, killed Porcupine Douluo, and let Qian Renxue leave after warning her they would be enemies next time.
• Madara restored Fanma as a Titled Douluo, rallied the four elemental academies under the Ninjutsu Sect, and made Shui Bing'er, Huo Wu, Feng Xiaotian, and Yu Tianheng pledge allegiance.
• Madara helped Yu Tianheng and Yu Tianxin avenge their clan by killing Yu Luomian, then appointed the four academy leaders to guide their schools as branches of the Ninjutsu Sect.
• Madara met Tang San in Metal City without revealing his identity, arranged a match between Tang San and Huo Wu, and had Fanma demonstrate his strength to the academy heads.
• Madara rejected Spirit Hall’s invitation to its Sect Conference and learned that Spirit Hall planned to send criminals from the City of Slaughter into the two empires to destabilize them.
