Background

Ling Li transmigrated into the body of the original Ling Li in the Monster Beast Mountain Range. Though his body already possessed the strength and Dou Qi vortex of a Dou Zhe, he inherited none of its cultivation knowledge. He survived his initial starvation by eating nearby red fruits, then began learning to navigate a world of cultivators and monster beasts through observation, combat, and his system panel. 1

The system identifies Ling Li as a bearer of the Devouring Spirit Clan bloodline. The clan’s inheritance was nearly annihilated and plundered, while surviving members were hunted or imprisoned by powerful factions; Ling Li therefore treats the bloodline as both an opportunity and a danger. 37 79

Ling Li is pragmatic, survival-driven, and deeply unwilling to accept a disadvantage. He will retreat when outmatched, openly characterizing himself as hypocritical for judging others who do the same. 32

Ling Xi, Zi Yan, and the Eight Fan Sect

Ling Xi of the Spirit Clan attempts to seize Ling Li’s body through his Sea of Consciousness.
