Background / History

Tang San appears outwardly as a child of Holy Spirit Village, but regards Luo Hao as immature because his true age is already over thirty. He cultivates the Mysterious Heaven Skill and relies on the Purple Demon Eye's dawn cultivation, making its daily timing especially important to him 3 4.

Luo Hao repeatedly challenges Tang San for the title of village children's leader. Tang San initially dismisses him, but accepts when Luo Hao threatens to interrupt his Purple Demon Eye training. Tang San underestimates Luo Hao's abnormal physical strength, is pinned down, and ultimately concedes defeat. He accepts Luo Hao as his “Boss,” then immediately asks to learn the source of Luo Hao's strength 4 5.

At his Martial Soul awakening, Tang San manifests Blue Silver Grass and is initially dismissed by Su Yuntao. Luo Hao insists that Tang San's Soul Power be tested, revealing his Innate Full Soul Power and opening Tang San's path as a Soul Master 7 8. He later receives a Mandala Snake Soul Ring and becomes Yu Xiaogang's disciple 37 48.

Tang San's relationship with Luo Hao gradually deteriorates. Although he remains grateful when Luo Hao defends Yu Xiaogang from Wang Sheng's insults, he later resents Luo Hao for harming his teacher and, ultimately, for murdering Tang Hao 44 202 244.

Personality

Tang San accepts defeat directly rather than making excuses. After losing to Luo Hao, he admits that his carelessness cost him the fight and focuses on understanding why Luo Hao is so powerful instead of letting the defeat break his resolve 5.

He is loyal to the people he recognizes as family, teachers, or brothers. He defends Yu Xiaogang's reputation, reacts immediately to Tang Hao's danger, and commits himself to rescuing Dai Mubai after learning of his imprisonment 44 237 437.

Tang San is also patient and strategic in conflict. In the Great Soul Arena, he deliberately withholds his hidden weapons and Eight Spider Lances despite believing they could extend his winning streak. After Tang Hao's death, however, his pursuit of revenge against Luo Hao and Spirit Hall becomes his defining motivation 155 244.
