Background

Three thousand years before the main story, Xuanyuan Qingtian was an unrivaled Sword Dao Saint known as the Sword Demon Saintess. She possessed the Chaos Supreme Sword Body, excelled in sword forging, and entered Dao through the sword. On her wedding day, her fiancé Xiao Feng poisoned her to seize her physique; after she escaped, her favored disciple Zhou Qingmei attacked her again. Qingtian self-destructed her Qi Sea and preserved only a wisp of her soul. 13 239 287

Her remnant soul endured within the Qiankun Divine Palace until Ye Xuan carried her sword-shaped pendant to the Divine Sword Sect. Lin Feng forced her presence into the open, learned of her past, and recruited her as the sect's First Elder. 10 13

Lin Feng gave her Xuanyuan Peak, authority over the sword cultivation lineage, the Chaos Jade, and the Ninth Grade Yin-Yang Sacred Lotus. Refining the lotus restored her physical body and allowed her to resume cultivation. 13 14
