  • Si Xiaonan fired a feathered arrow that signaled the Lord Gods of Olympus to attack Zeus's palace and compete for the God King's token.
  • The Olympus gods realized Bia's signal had tricked them and began fighting Zeus, while Si Xiaonan returned to her original appearance and vanished into the void.

Ch. 1744Eternal Pill

Destiny Monk explained that the Immortal Pill inside Jialan was one half of Lingbao Tianzun’s failed attempt to create an indestructible Eternal Heavenly Court. He said rebuilding the Heavenly Court required refining Jialan into a pill, leaving Lin Qiye to confront the cost of the choice he had made two thousand years ago.

  • Destiny Monk revealed that the Eternal Pill and Immortal Pill were fragments of a pill meant to merge with the Heavenly Court Origin and make the Heavenly Court eternal.
  • Destiny Monk explained that the Key of Doors had shattered the pill, preventing the Eternal Heavenly Court from being created.

  • Si Xiaonan recognized the move as hers, then followed Jialan toward the Heavenly Court.

Ch. 1746Jialan and Si Xiaonan

As the Celestial Venerables moved the moon away from Earth to prepare for Lingbao Tianzun to detonate the Heavenly Court Origin, Jialan and Si Xiaonan arrived at Tushita Palace to reforge the Eternal Pill. Si Xiaonan began telling Jialan about a case Lin Qiye had worked on, leaving her story unfinished.

  • Lingbao Tianzun told Primordial Celestial Venerable and Taoist Celestial Venerable to move the moon away from Earth so he could detonate the Heavenly Court Origin and destroy the attacking Lovecraftian Gods.
  • Primordial Celestial Venerable and Taoist Celestial Venerable cast a formation that pulled the moon away, while Jiang Ziya realized the Heavenly Court was near its end.

  • Si Xiaonan told Jialan how Lin Qiye’s understanding of love came from helping an old woman remember her husband.

  • Si Xiaonan wished Jialan a happy wedding before they were swallowed by the flames and Tushita Palace collapsed.
  • The fused pills became a streak of light and struck the damaged Heavenly Court Origin as Lingbao Tianzun and the other Celestial Venerables faced the Lovecraftian Deities.
  • The Eternal Pill repaired the Heavenly Court and suppressed the Lovecraftian Gods, transforming it into the Eternal Heavenly Court.

Ch. 1748A Mess

  • The cage lost its indestructibility, and Lin Qiye realized Jialan would not return; Destiny Monk told him her body and soul had been consumed to restore the Eternal Pill.

  • An Qingyu crushed Chloe’s chess piece, took nine Lovecraftian Gods, and left through the Gate of Truth; the Great Xia Gods began growing drowsy as their godhood changed.
  • Destiny Monk told Lin Qiye to go to the Heavenly Court and see the gods off as the Eternal Pill’s benefits outweighed suppressing the lunar seal.
  • Lingbao Tianzun explained that the Eternal Pill was elevating the Heavenly Court and might let its strongest gods break through, but the pantheon would need to slumber for years.
  • The three Lin Qiyes arrived and opposed interrupting the ascension, arguing that humanity could defend itself while the gods slept.
  • Lin Qiye asked the Celestial Venerables to let the Great Xia Gods enter slumber, and Lingbao Tianzun and Primordial Celestial Venerable agreed to entrust humanity’s future to him.

Ch. 1750Nothing Is Over

After the Great Xia Gods returned to Heavenly Court, Lin Qiye said humanity would have to walk its own path while the moon remained exiled to keep the Lovecraftian Gods away from its seal. As Huo Qubing and Gongyang Wan faded after fulfilling their ancient agreement, Huo Qubing mentioned Lin Qiye’s marriage pact with Jialan, prompting Lin Qiye to seize a Karma Thread from each of them and ask them to wait.

  • Lin Qiye told Lingbao Tianzun that Jialan was beneath the earth, and the Celestial Venerables decided to keep the moon far from the Lovecraftian Gods.

  • Monkey King fell into a petrified slumber as his divine power surged, and Primordial Celestial Venerable told Yang Jian to leave him and return alone.
  • Lin Qiye met Huo Qubing and Gongyang Wan in space as their bodies began to fade after fulfilling their agreement from two thousand years earlier.
  • After Huo Qubing lamented that he would not witness Lin Qiye’s marriage pact with Jialan, Lin Qiye plucked a Karma Thread from each of them and asked them to wait.

Ch. 1751Marriage?

Lin Qiye tried to use the Uncaused Cause to create a past where he could marry Jialan, but discovered that her karma had vanished and broke down in grief. He disappeared from the others and later walked through Shangjing City, following a wedding procession while carrying liquor.

  • Lin Qiye created a nonexistent karma and sent Huo Qubing and Gongyang Wan into it to witness his intended wedding to Jialan.
  • Lin Qiye searched for Jialan's karma but could not find it, realizing she had vanished from his world and that the wedding could not happen.
  • Lin Qiye angrily blamed fate for taking Jialan from him, then vanished as the Human Apexes and Destiny Monk let him be alone.
  • In Shangjing City, Lin Qiye drank from a bottle, brushed past a quarrelling couple, and continued walking in the direction of the wedding cars.

Ch. 1752Grand Wedding

At a wedding where the groom’s bride-price bargain exposes his resentment, Lin Qiye recognizes the hearse as a sign of love and rushes to Fengdu. There, he uses the coffins and their remaining karma to bring Jialan into a past that never existed and prepares to marry her in a grand ghost wedding.

  • The groom’s bride demands another two hundred thousand in bride price, and he borrows money to proceed with the wedding while secretly vowing to make her pay for humiliating him.
  • Lin Qiye watches the wedding from outside and declares that the love he sees is in the hearse driving away, then realizes the coffins can help him reach Jialan.
  • Lin Qiye returns to Fengdu and draws Karma Threads from the two coffins, using Jialan’s coffin and Miracle to stabilize a thread of karma that never existed.

Ch. 1753Beneath the Red Veil

Lin Qiye held a wedding for Jialan in a nonexistent strand of causality, using her soulless shell to fulfill their promise after her death. As the ceremony ended and the imagined history faded, Jialan’s face beneath the veil was streaked with tears.

  • Lin Qiye summoned figures from his memories to fill the underworld hall, then welcomed Huo Qubing and Gongyang Wan as the only other living guests.
  • Lin Qiye called for Jialan’s bridal sedan chair, and Huo Qubing explained that the bride inside was only a soulless shell.

After Commander Zuo died, Min Junliang found Lin Qiye in the Netherworld and asked him to lead the Night Watchmen as their Seventh Commander-in-Chief. Lin Qiye accepted and chose Mount Jiuhua for his succession ceremony, where Night Watchmen from across Great Xia gathered as he arrived.

  • Lu Wuwei took Min Junliang by Electric Scooter to the Netherworld, where Min found Lin Qiye at the ancient Netherworld Gate.
  • Min Junliang told Lin Qiye that Commander Zuo had named him as his successor and explained that the Night Watchmen could help him complete the Chess Game.
  • Lin Qiye accepted the appointment as the Seventh Commander-in-Chief and chose Mount Jiuhua for the succession ceremony instead of Shangjing.
  • Two days later, Night Watchmen, reserve teams, upper ranks, and Human Apexes gathered on Mount Jiuhua for the ceremony.
  • Lin Qiye began ascending the mountain as the assembled Night Watchmen stood solemnly to greet him.
