Lin Qiye found Chloe in London as An Qingyu attacked the church, then learned Chloe had marked him with three Sacred Covenants. The first covenant sent Lin Qiye and Wu Quan into the Western Han, where they encountered Huo Qubing amid a growing threat from Mysteries.

• Lin Qiye traveled to London with Shen Qingzhu, Wu Quan, and Number 27 to find Chloe, who had been sleeping in the Holy Judgment Knights’ cathedral.
• An Qingyu unleashed the Mi Go on London, and Shen Qingzhu revealed his Six-Winged Angel form before fighting him.
• An Qingyu reached Chloe, but Lin Qiye stopped him and fought him inside the church.
• An Qingyu took Chloe through a Spatial Vortex, and Charles explained that Chloe had placed three Sacred Covenants on Lin Qiye.
• The First Sacred Covenant activated, transporting Lin Qiye and Wu Quan to the Western Han, where Lin Qiye learned that Huo Qubing was entering Xue County.

Lin Qiye traveled with Huo Qubing toward Chang’an as Crimson Star fragments brought Lovecraftian creatures and impostors into their path. The mist reached the capital, where Lin Qiye entered it with Wu Quan and found its true form, an enormous Willow Tree carried on countless human legs.

• Lin Qiye met Huo Qubing, identified Gongyang Wan as the Eternal Youth, and brought the injured Wu Quan to the army, where Huo Qubing recognized him as Emperor of Domination.
• Huo Qubing led his army toward Chang’an through attacks by Mysteries, and Lin Qiye shattered a falling meteor that released Iridescent Mist and a counterfeit Lin Qiye.
• After Lin Qiye killed the counterfeit, the army reached Chang’an, where he met Chloe and learned that her Saint Covenants fulfilled promises through whatever events were necessary.
• The mist’s impostors drove soldiers to attack Chang’an, and Chloe decapitated the thirty thousand soldiers while Lin Qiye searched the palace for Huo Qubing.
• Gongyang Wan swallowed Willow Branches and gained the ability to detect impostors, then helped Lin Qiye confirm Wu Quan was real as the Iridescent Mist approached the city.
• Two Huo Qubings appeared at Chang’an’s wall, and Gongyang Wan identified the bloodstained one as an impostor before Lin Qiye and Wu Quan entered the mist.
• Lin Qiye used Wu Quan’s power to navigate the distorted mist and found its enormous true body, a Willow Tree borne on countless human legs.

Lin Qiye survived Chaos’s trap, reclaimed his powers, and helped Huo Qubing establish the Evil Suppression Department while preparing to seek the gods. The group set out for Kunlun as Huo Qubing concealed his failing health, and Lin Qiye’s karmic threads began to react in Qingshan County, where Jialan was captured.

• Wu Quan betrayed Lin Qiye under Chaos’s plan, and Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi killed him as the two Huo Qubings fought to the death outside Chang'an.
• Lin Qiye awakened Uncaused Cause and Fruit of Predestination, revived himself by transferring his wounds, and returned to battle Chaos with Huo Qubing and Chloe.
• Lin Qiye hid his karma from the Key of Doors, destroyed Chaos’s severed finger, and asked Huo Qubing and Chloe to help him prepare for the Cthulhu Pantheon.
• Huo Qubing established the Evil Suppression Department, while Lin Qiye screened recruits and discovered Hu Jia’s powerful Mind Wandering ability.
• Lin Qiye learned that Cthulhu’s offspring were copying people and possibly gods, then led Huo Qubing and the others from Chang'an toward Kunlun to seek the gods.
• Wu Quan asked Huo Qubing to train him, and Lin Qiye learned that Huo Qubing had at most three months to live and planned for Gongyang Wan to take his place.
• In Qingshan County, Lin Qiye sensed his karmic threads trembling as Jialan resisted Chen Bapi after an elderly woman sold her to him.

Lin Qiye rescued Jialan, reached Yaochi, and gained the Queen Mother of the West’s aid before devising a causal plan to hide future fighters from the Key of Doors. As the Death Star fragments threatened Earth, Huo Qubing battled Cthulhu while Lin Qiye began sealing it, and Huo Qubing was left gravely wounded with a desperate plan to reach Hu Jia.

• Gongyang Wan killed Chen Bapi for selling her and causing Azhuo’s death, while Lin Qiye found the wounded Jialan in the snow and saved her from the Mi Go.
• Lin Qiye fed Jialan the Immortal Pill, then brought her and his companions to Yaochi, where he and Huo Qubing fought counterfeit gods and met the Queen Mother of the West.
• Lin Qiye exposed the fake Queen Mother of the West, obtained a peach for Huo Qubing, and persuaded the real Queen Mother to spare Jialan after the Immortal Pill was consumed.
• Lin Qiye gathered his companions around a Go board and explained how he would use causal loops and the Fruit of Predestination to conceal future fighters from the Key of Doors.
• After the Primordial Celestial Venerable split the Death Star, its fragments fell toward Earth, and Lin Qiye, Queen Mother of the West, Huo Qubing, Chloe, and distant gods moved to stop them.
