An Qingyu's gaze swept over the wound, and his eyes narrowed.
A gray gleam flashed through his pupils. Under the analysis of The Only Correct Answer, he quickly gleaned a great deal from the shape of the wound.
Judging by its angle, Baili Pangpang had cut open his own abdomen. The weapon had likely been a standard-issue Night Watchmen straight blade. Though the wound had received basic hemostatic treatment, it seemed to have split open again during some intense battle, making it far worse than when it had first been cut.
Without another word, An Qingyu took out the tools he used for dissection and suturing and began treating Baili Pangpang's wound.
He could not treat illnesses, but he had some means of dealing with external injuries.
"There's no anesthetic. Bear with it," An Qingyu said as he disinfected the wound.
Baili Pangpang gave a quiet grunt.
An Qingyu glanced at him. After hesitating for a moment, he finally spoke.
"You did this wound to yourself? They said you disappeared after the battle began. Did you vanish just to hurt yourself? Why did you do it? Does it have something to do with the Jade Ruyi that Primordial Celestial Venerable stuffed into your stomach back in Fengdu?"
Before Baili Pangpang could answer that string of questions, An Qingyu had already reached his conclusion and stared at him intently.
"You... actually took part in that battle, didn't you?"
"You hid here because you were afraid Cool Bro and the others would find out. They saw you fighting... and you were afraid they'd recognize you?"
Baili Pangpang lay on the ground, staring blankly at him for a while before smiling helplessly.
"Qingyu, everyone has secrets, don't they?"
"I understand."
An Qingyu nodded and did not press him further. He simply continued treating
