A setting sun slowly sank beyond the golden desert.
The lingering glow of sunset fell across the many weary faces, draping them in a veil of dark red. They glanced at the endless desert around them, their expressions full of worry.
"Why aren't we there after walking for so long? Didn't Miles say it would be quick?"
"Yeah, and why is this treasury so huge?"
"Could Miles have gotten lost?"
"How is that possible? Miles is a prophet. How could he get lost?"
"Have you forgotten what happened to those who doubted Miles's prophecies?"
The agents all turned and glared at the agent who had questioned whether Miles was lost. He immediately fell silent.
After those two agents had ignored Lin Qiye's warning, flown into the sky on their own, and died horribly, Lin Qiye's credibility among the group had soared to its peak.
And the more quick-witted agents had already begun trying to ingratiate themselves with Lin Qiye.
"My name is Kyle. I'm the God's Agent of Atar, God of Fire, from Persian Mythology." An agent walked over to Lin Qiye and said with a smile,
"I've long heard that Merlin, God of Prophecy and Magic, is the founder of Prophecy Arts, versed in both past and future. Even his agent can foresee what has yet to happen. Seeing it now, the reputation is well deserved."
Another agent beside him sneered.
"Persian Mythology? Just a fallen minor pantheon. And Atar dares call himself a God of Fire? My name is Eiffel. I'm a God's Agent from Olympus..."
The agents crowded forward one after another, chatting with Lin Qiye as they continued onward.
Everyone had witnessed Lin Qiye's prophetic abilities firsthand. Coupled with his amiable yet magnanimous, steady, and learned demeanor, befriending him could only be beneficial.
Even after they
