"Safe Passage," Lin Qiye replied.
"Safe Passage?"
"A passage that can enter any point in time at will, existing beyond the maze." Lin Qiye pointed to the end of the Light Cone. "Didn't you say the Time Maze is an inverted pyramid? The Gate of Truth is at the pyramid's base. If we keep moving upward, we'll leap directly out through the very top of the inverted pyramid and arrive outside the maze."
Lina's gaze swept across the densely packed Time Shards. On the shard closest to the Gate of Truth, she even saw Vishnu and No. 22. Yet the two of them seemed utterly unaware that she was watching them.
She looked at Lin Qiye in confusion. "You knew this Safe Passage existed all along?"
"Yeah... but I didn't expect getting in here to be this difficult."
An Qingyu's figure surfaced in Lin Qiye's mind... An Qingyu had been the one to tell him about the Safe Passage. Did he know of this place through mere theoretical deduction? Or had he come here before as well?
Just as Lin Qiye pondered this, a blinding streak of light tore through the void, plunging straight down from above toward their heads!
Lin Qiye's pupils constricted slightly!
"Watch out!"
Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi slashed through the air. A golden blade gleam skimmed past her hair and struck above Lina, colliding with the howling streak of light. Surging divine power erupted at once, blasting the streak backward.
The ambush had come far too quickly. If Lin Qiye had not sensed it in advance with his Mental Power and acted to protect her, Lina would have been severely injured even if she survived. Taking advantage of the moment, Lin Qiye also saw the streak's true form.
It was a feathered arrow forged from gold and iron.
