The Eastern Emperor Bell rang, its chimes rising from the Qilian Mountains and resounding through heaven and earth.
The mist.
Within an abandoned, uninhabited ruin, a young girl sat cross-legged on the ground in deep concentration, her eyes tightly shut. Dust as fine as gauze covered her entire body, as though she had not moved for a very long time.
The instant the bell rang, the girl's eyelashes trembled. A powerful aura burst from within her, sending the dust covering her body flying into the air!
Her eyes slowly opened. She lowered her head to look at the back of her hand. Of the two remaining marks, one was emitting a faint glow.
"The Eastern Emperor Bell rises, the Sacred Covenant answers, the mist disperses, and all things are reborn..."
Chloe narrowed her eyes and rose from the ground.
"This day has finally come."
The Power of Faith she had accumulated within her was rapidly devoured by the glow of the mark. Her face visibly paled, and as she spat out a mouthful of scarlet blood, the second mark faded away without a trace.
"The Second Sacred Covenant has activated. A great war is about to begin... It seems this place is no longer safe either." Chloe looked toward Great Xia. "It's time to go back."
She stepped forward and vanished into the hazy mist.
Clang—clang—clang!!
The resounding bell swept across the sea. Jinian glanced toward Great Xia in confusion, just about to ask something when a blinding radiance bloomed from Lin Qiye's chest beside her!
The mark of the Second Sacred Covenant gradually faded away. A terrifying pillar of light erupted from Lin Qiye's body and shot straight into the heavens!
Within the surging beam of light, Lin Qiye raised both hands, one pointing to the sky and
